1-Central Bank of Ireland: Crypto equals PONZI scheme
The Central Bank of Ireland claims that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a PONZI scheme. The PONZI scheme is an investment model based on a fraudulent method. The method makes large profits for initial investors at the expense of later investors. It is precisely the latter who will be the victims of the Ponzi scheme scam. The name Ponzi scheme derives from its creator Charles Ponzi, who was born in Lugo, Italy in 1882 and died in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1949. He emigrated to the United States, became a businessman and then turned into one of the greatest con men in US history.
2-Coinbase: Will have to pay a fine
It seems that Coinbase will have to pay a fine of USD 3.6 million.
The Dutch Central Bank has applied its General Fine Policy and sent a fine to the digital exchange Coinbase. The reason was that Coinbase allegedly provided financial services in the Netherlands before obtaining the appropriate registration. Coinbase is a digital cryptocurrency exchange based in the US, but operating with crypto/euro exchanges.
3-Litecoin and dYdX: traded by whales
It is not only Bitcoin that seems to be in good shape these days, but also some altcoins. The last 3 months of Litecoin have been quite interesting and LTC has grown from $55 to $87. These last 90 days have seen some large transactions of Litecoin. In this 2023 we also saw a huge participation of whales in the dYdX project

My opinion
1-This is not the first time a bank has lashed out at cryptocurrencies and it won't be the last either. Time will tell who will be right. However, we must admit that compared to a few years ago, such news is less and less frequent. Now rather than denigrating crypto, as the Central Bank of Ireland did, there is more talk of regulation. Let's say that the disparaging phase towards cryptos is waning a bit.
2-Lately Coinbase has not had an easy time of it. The bear market has weighed on its balance sheet, plus this fine from the Netherlands is a further problem. Coinbase is one of the most solid centralised exchanges in the crypto world and has been through other crypto winters, always coming through unscathed. I think it can pull through, but it should be noted that the listed shares have also depreciated sharply in the last 10 months.
3-I find it interesting that there have been large transactions on Litecoin and dYdX because it means that interest is back for altcoins as well.

1-Banca Centrale d’Irlanda: Crypto uguale a schema PONZI
La Banca Centrale d’Irlanda afferma che Bitcoin e le altre criptovalute sono uno schema PONZI. Lo schema PONZI è un modello di investimento basato su un metodo truffaldino. Il metodo realizza forti guadagni agli investitori iniziali a discapito degli investitori che arrivano in seguito. Proprio questi ultimi saranno le vittime della truffa dello schema Ponzi. Il nome schema Ponzi deriva dal suo ideatore Charles Ponzi, nato a Lugo (Italia) nel 1882 e morto in Brasile a Rio de Janeiro nel 1949. Emigrò negli Stati Uniti, divenne un uomo d’affari per poi trasformarsi in uno dei più grandi truffatori della storia statunitense.
2-Coinbase: dovrà pagare una multa
Sembra che Coinbase dovrà pagare una multa di 3,6 milioni di dollari.
La Banca Centrale Olandese ha applicato la propria Politica generale di calcolo delle ammende e ha inviato una multa all’exchange digitale Coinbase. La motivazione è che Coinbase avrebbe fornito servizi finanziari in Olanda prima di aver ottenuto la registrazione appropriata. Coinbase è un exchange digitale di criptovalute con sede negli Stati Uniti, ma che opera con i cambi crypto/euro.
3-Litecoin e dYdX: tradati dalle balene
In questo periodo non solo Bitcoin sembra in forma, ma anche alcune altcoin. Gli ultimi 3 mesi di Litecoin sono stati piuttosto interessanti e LTC è cresciuto da 55$ a 87$. In questi ultimi 90 giorni si sono viste delle transazioni di grandi dimensioni di Litecoin. In questo 2023 si è vista anche un'enorme partecipazione di balene nel progetto dYdX

La mia opinione
1-Non è la prima volta che una banca si scaglia contro le criptovalute e non sarà neanche l’ultima. Il tempo ci dirà chi avrà ragione. Dobbiamo però ammettere che rispetto a qualche anno fa queste notizie sono sempre meno frequenti. Ora più che denigrare le cripto, come ha fatto la Banca Centrale d’Irlanda, si parla più di regolamentazione. Diciamo che la fase denigratoria nei confronti delle cripto un po’ sta scemando.
2-Ultimamente Coinbase non ha vita facile. Il bear market ha pesato sul suo bilancio, in più questa multa che arriva dall’Olanda è un ulteriore problema. Coinbase è uno tra gli exchange centralizzati più solidi del mondo crypto ed ha passato altri crypto inverni venendone sempre fuori indenne. Io credo che se la possa cavare, ma bisogna notare che anche le azioni quotate in borsa hanno avuto un forte deprezzamento in questi ultimi 10 mesi.
3-Trovo interessante che ci siano state grandi transazioni su Litecoin e dYdX perchè vuol dire che l’interesse è tornato anche per le altcoin.

Su LTC avevo letto anch'io delle notizie interessanti, in merito alla crescita che sta avendo in questi mesi: un tempo ne detenevo anche un po' in portafoglio, ma quando iniziò il bear market l'anno scorso fu fra le crypto che si deprezzarono di più e, alla fine, me ne liberai. Da allora la sto un po' ignorando, però ammetto che l'ho sempre trovato un progetto interessante.
Per Coinbase la multa penso (e spero) che non sia poi così alta: 3.6 milioni di dollari per un exchange di quel calibro non dovrebbero troppo difficili da far saltare fuori, anche perchè, come minimo, troveranno un accordo per pagarne meno, ammesso che non riescano proprio a vincere la causa e far ritirare la multa.

LTC una volta veniva considerato l’argento delle cryptovalute (l’oro era ovviamente Bitcoin), poi sono uscite le blockchain di nuova generazione, le POS, le DPOS, le POA e di LTC se ne è parlato sempre meno. Io credo che Litecoin sia la seconda Proof of work più interessante che ci sia… anche se mi sembra che per ora i dati sono a favore di Dogecoin. Anch’io, come te, penso che Coinbase supererà anche questa situazione, cioè la multa che gli ha dato l’Olanda. Non ci avevo pensato, ma il tuo ragionamento fila, il valore della multa potrebbe non essere così alto per un exchange simile e forse addirittura come hai scritto, la cifra potrebbe essere anche dimezzata se si accordano
Io ci spero sempre che LTC possa risalire e tornare ai fasti di un tempo: non ne ho nemmeno un dollaro, ma concordo con te che quale PoW sia molto meglio di Dogecoin e meriterebbe molte più attenzioni di quelle che ha ricevuto negli ultimi anni.

I proprietari delle banche conoscono il potenziale che hanno le criptovalute, penso che si siano comportati come quelle persone che sono molto intelligenti e fanno i tonti, e ha funzionato per loro, molti hanno accumulato e ovviamente cercano di fare un profitto.
Coinbase ha attraversato molti alti e bassi, quindi penso come te, esce sempre avanti, e questa non farà eccezione.
In relazione alle ultime notizie, ti dirò, è come quando vai in un ristorante, vedi tante persone in un posto, quindi ci vai perché se c'è tanta gente è perché lì c'è qualcosa che funzioni
