Vertical farming
Let’s go completely off topic and write something with real meaning about the future of our world . Or not ? Well only time will tell but it’s a fucking dope 😂
Vertical farming …. What is vertical farming and what is this big idea that will feed an over populated earth with higher quality vegetables and fruits ?
Vertical farming is the practice of growing crops in vertically stacked layers.[1] It often incorporates controlled-environment agriculture, which aims to optimize plant growth, and soilless farming techniques such as hydroponics, aquaponics, and aeroponics. Some common choices of structures to house vertical farming systems include buildings, shipping containers, tunnels, and abandoned mine shafts. As of 2020, there is the equivalent of about 30 ha (74 acres) of operational vertical farmland in the world
So go buy an old factory , some new and fancy sensors and labs and start growing in a controlled environment just like growing weed 😂
What are the advantages?
The main advantage of utilizing vertical farming technologies is the increased crop yield that comes with a smaller unit area of land requirement ,increased ability to cultivate a larger variety of crops at once because crops do not share the same plots of land while growing. Additionally, crops are resistant to weather disruptions because of their placement indoors, meaning fewer crops are lost to extreme or unexpected weather occurrences. Because of its limited land usage, vertical farming is less disruptive to the native plants and animals, leading to further conservation of the local flora and fauna.
So it’s a win win for the farmers , environment and us the people .
That’s the big idea there are 3 ways to do a vertical farming that I will analyse later with some of the drawbacks. Keep in mind that vertical farming in large scale is just starting to flourish. There are companies , restaurants etc that use it but for now it’s in early stages of viability with a lot of funding
Fresh fruits and vegetables gives many positive effects on your health. I personally don't like city life and decided to move on village and start my poultry farm business. I have also decided to invest my money on my village business. Thanks for sharing this great idea and how to grow plants and vegetables and other things.
Yes great idea. The quality of village life is better and being able to farm what you eat is something that will help in the future
I mostly eat rice and other my favorite vegetables.
