Sunday's Exploration + Mt. Olympus Hiking
Sunday yesterday a sunny day again with the temperature being 12 degrees Celsius. So i couldn't stay inside with that day and i went out to explore some old villages near the mount Olympus and believe me it was worth it! I live here all my life and i lately i am visiting places i couldn't even imagine being so beautiful.
Today i went to the old village of Vrontou i always new about it visited many times the near landmarks like Agia kori ( Holy daughter ) Agia triada ( holy trinity ) and of course the entrance for mount olympus and the guest house KREVATIA REFUGE that operates in the 1100m high in Olympus mountan but never went to the old village.
Believe me it was a big mistake. I have the photos to prove it
The old village was in that spot up until somewhere 1700. The village was like a guest house for the ones crossing over and the villagers where mainly farmers.
There is a perfectly preserved church from 1700 named after Saint Nickolas
Believe me when i say that i was speechless by it's beauty.
After leaving the village a made a stop to the stream that is named after the church of the Holy trinity there is no water now there probably because it's been days since it rained.
After i while it got cloudy and i didn't had good sunlight
Those tree were truly magnificent
Now since i mentioned Mount Olympus ( one of the best places to go on hike ) I will share some extra photos from the past summer when i hiked. I recommend to anyone visiting Greece that going to old village of Vrontou and then hiking to the top or close to the top of Olympus is an once in a life time experience !!! DO IT

Very Beautiful place. It seems like a abandoned place. You captured very nice Photos.
Yes no one lives there now .
It was a great hike for you! First of all, the view must have paid off. 👏
One thing that was interesting was that there was no security guard there to monitor everyone who was coming and going. Because these kind of old buildings usually have a lot of graffiti on them and it becomes a mess. I think this place is better protected because of its location.
Thank you for sharing 🥤🤗🤗🤗
Yes and probably they respect the place as much as the can.
Nothing to eat this time?
No this time we had a simple sandwich 😂😂
Tons of pics here. Are you into black and white photography? I'd definitely edit some of these in monochrome...
