Unveiling the Power of Purpose: The Key to Living a Fulfilling Life
We all start at a point in life where we are trying to figure out what we want, the path to follow, and how to live the best life possible. Many of us sum up our desires as wanting to be wealthy, to be relevant, to be celebrated, and not to be forgotten. This is where realising your purpose in life is very important.
I know you must have had troubled times. You sat down like the little old man in the gif above, thinking about this question. Finding an answer to this question does not only stop being bothersome but also gives us a sense of direction for what you want to be, what you want to do, and the set of values you build up towards attaining that purpose.
It is very risky to live without knowing your purpose or figuring out a definite answer to this question. You take the risk of embracing the uncertainties of life and accepting whatever they bring.
The thing about life is that it doesn't give you what you want; it gives you what you deserve. Without answering that question, you may not have a sense of purpose, and you may not put in as much effort as you would if you really knew the reason for your existence and what exactly drives you.
Someone who has not figured out the answer to the question would probably say this frequently: These days, my life feels like it has no purpose.
From the start, I knew the importance of having a sense of purpose. It has driven me to put effort into the things that matter most to me, but the truth is that there is something else that is also needed even after figuring out what your purpose is, and what is that?**
It is easy to get distracted by the challenges of life. It is needed to refuel the energy and drive in you about your existence by constantly finding time to take a moment: a moment of realisation, a moment to think, a moment to meditate*.
I have lost it so many times because I failed to realise the importance of taking a moment and the importance of constant meditation on my purpose. Even if you figure your purpose out, without the constant renewal of your mind, you are open to distraction and getting lost in your sense of direction.
In summary, finding a sense of purpose through the constant renewal of your mind makes your mind whole. You know what you want and how to stay consistent towards that goal. Indirectly, you become a person of value, and your true desires in life will come through consistency, perseverance, and constant renewal of your mind.

smiles thank you very much, brother. I appreciate the kind words.
There are moments in our lives we need to introspect. What do I want exactly? What is my purpose? I have, in many times tried sitting, reflecting on my life and asking, "what exactly do I want to be? What is my purpose in this life?" One thing I came to understand is that taking one's time for meditation is necessary and whatever we find ourselves doing with ease and not struggling with is what we ought to do. In all, having a focus and direction matters a lot in identifying one's purpose. May God help us all.
Hmmm. I don't totally agree as I feel it is not always so that whatever we find ourselves doing is what we ought to do. Sometimes, we might feel that we find something very easy and may just choose to settle for it because it is easy.
Growth comes from doing hard things, things that challenges us and tries to tip us off the edge.
I have struggled to see myself in school but to no avail. I later see myself as a fashion and designer. Maybe I have not realized my purpose here on earth or have the gods forgotten me.
God has not forgotten you, we are all designed to with the potential to succeed but the truth is not everyone does. When you say you have struggled to see yourself through school, what do you mean?
It's good to reflect on your life at some point. See what you're doing right, evaluate on what you're doing wrong and take steps to ensure you're moving on the right track. It's necessary to achieve that purpose that you want.
An inspiring post indeed.✨
