THE FRUSTRATION THAT COMES WITH LEARNING SOMETHING NEW!

Have you ever had that feeling of trying so much to get something, trying so hard but yet feeling that you are not improving? I bet you know that feeling because at one point in our lives we have come to try something new and different from something we are usually accustomed to.

Learning new stuff may be a pain in the ass but what I have come to understand is that a high level of patience is needed. We may not know that there is some amount of growth each time we try. For example, taking bodybuilding for an instance: it is not easy to build one's body, there is a lot of pain involved, and that pain we sacrifice will end up leading to results.

I know the pressure one may feel anytime you are trying something you are new to and not making progress in it. Truth is I am writing this post based on my present feeling. I want to sharply fly to be a pro in the skill I am learning but my experience in other things I have learned so far has made me understand that life doesn't work that way.

LIFE FOLLOWS A GRADUAL PROCESS

yeah, that is one of the painful things about life, there is no shortcut and if there is; possibly dropping a sacrifice at the middle of 3 crossroads, it would not be for free which is why the sacrifice was earlier stated. The reason why this gradual process is needed is to build experience to cause one to prepare for difficulties or problems one may face in the future and to know how best to tackle them.

Now I am thinking! if taking shortcuts was possible, how would I solve problems in the future if I don't get to face them now?

DOES IT GETS ANY EASIER?

Now I am asking myself this question? I am doing this mainly to try to make myself not give up and keep pushing. Because when you are new to stuff and it seems hard, every nerve of your body would be pushing you to stop trying and give up.

But yet, I know it is because I am at the starting and that's how the starting always looks like. I can take Hive for example for me; It wasn't easy at all, I felt exactly the same way for Hive. I felt like giving up and at even some points, I took a break away from Hive but somehow I kept pushing until it got easier.

The same process happed to me when I was learning the guitar, I felt like giving up and even giving up at some point but I had to push myself to pick it up and keep up learning and it got easier along the way. I believe it would definitely get easier. What I need most at the moment is patience, consistency and following up with the process then I would be fine.

If you are in the same situation as I am now, you should not quit as well. IT WOULD GET EASIER SOON!

This is the fundamental truth, it is not an easy thing to learn something new, but if one is determined, it can be done.

Quitting should never be an option, if what you are aiming for is worth it. If you fail once, adjust, learn, try again.

Yeah.. is definitely worth it. Didn't want to quit and the only way I could push myself not to was by writing my feelings and encouraging myself not to quit.

Thanks so much for the curation ♥️

I bet everyone can relate to this as you said. This is common especially when you take on a challenging task or something that pushes the bounds of your comfort.

A good friend said to me today that consistency is the key to becoming good at or mastering anything. He said showing up everyday and putting in the needed effort is exactly what I need. It is common knowledge but it felt like I needed to hear that from him.

And here I am, I reading your awesome post revolving around the same subject. I love moments of synchronicity like this. lol.

Thank you for sharing this, @starstrings01. I hope you’ve been well.

Smiles... I wrote this post because I am in a situation for this advice. I had no way to motivate myself than to blog about my feelings down.

I am glad it synchronized with the way you feel at the moment.

Every starting is always stressful but as time passes by the human mind evolves to the new reality but it is never a easy feat.

"Never give up" is a highly motivating statement especially when facing challenges beyond a person physical and mental capacity. It's create a psychological force that fuels your mind to keep in moving.

But it must also be stressed that the statement is also unpractical, not everything in life you must keep pushing.there are some situations where by the ideal thing to do is to let go of it, to know if such action should be abandoned or retained is one of the most complicated choice a human being has to make in our day to day activities.

Your words are nice and highly motivational. Nothing good comes easy.

Hmm. Very true that not everything one have to keep pushing! When want we are trying to get is detrimental to our health then we should take the next door off. An example is keeping up pushing in an abusive marriage but when the case is to build up one’s self then that’s when the never give up best fit.

Man you are very practical on engagement. I love your comments and they contribute a lot to my post. I really appreciate you for this!

You are absolutely right.
Learning new thing can be very hard at the beginning and a lot of patience is needed sometimes we even feel we are not making progress just because we do not get the intended result immediately but then even life is a process itself
It one step at a time.

All that is needed is time and devotion and we eventually become a pro.
Thank you for sharing, this is really helpful.

Exactly, you hit the nail. When we don’t get the expected results, we feel like giving up. And many eventually do.

But the patience to learn would us far.

I can totally relate to this, I have taken up over 3 courses over the last month learning the same skill...some days its hard but when i go on LinkedIn and see how people are killing it in the space daily, and making huge buck😂, I buckle up and keep learning.

In the same shoe right now. I am currently studying a course. It is not easy for me. Sometimes I too want to just give up because joggling school, family and my work is very hectic. I feel that my baby is suffering because I am not there 100% for her and it is eating me up everyday. But one thing I know is that everything will fall back in place soon.

Thanks for sharing this my friend.

Just on point, this post is for me

Man just have to keep learning everyday because the world itself is not stagnant, there are different stages in life and every stage has its own challenges and glory, only if man can understand that every time they are faced with new tasks, they are elevating to a new stage.

...there is some amount of growth each time we try.

Sometimes we stop to try because we don't see our growth. But we forget it's a process – process to be endured, process to be managed, process to be committed to and consistent with, process to be followed if we will see the change(s) we want.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Life is sometimes about ups and downs and what you do about them.
One's mindset determines a lot of things more often than not.
It becomes easy to stay with something when you put your mindset to "determine to see it through".

Despite the fact that there might be setbacks or periods of low motivation, it's important to keep the mindset right.
That would tell on the longrun whether you would finish the process or not.

It felt like you were speaking to me directly. Recently I have thus feeling that I'm just moving round circles and I'm doing the same thing all over. I know how many times I have to stop doing some things and then when I get back to it, I become better.

Another solution to this problem is that, once some things don't seem to be working properly, do well to take some time to relax and meditate on the problem and with time you will find the right timing for everything.
