Exploring a New Restaurant: A Culinary Adventure on a Budget

As someone who loves food so much, I always like to try out new restaurants I find around. It is something that I can call a hobby, but not one I do very often because there is not always so much money to put my hobby into practise. But this time, I was able to do this.

I was scrolling through my WhatsApp when I saw a friend advertising their launch, and then I noticed that the restaurant was like a stone's throw from where I lived. This makes it easier to check it out. So I decided to go. I went so early at first, and when I got there, I was told that food was not ready. I left and planned to go back.

This was me leaving my place for the second time, but this time I had plans on going somewhere else but decided to check out the place first before going where I was going.

I finally got to the place and decided to take a selfie. I liked the fact that I saw a mirror there; it gave that vibe of taking mirror selfies. I also like their display; it is stylish and fancy.

This is the entrance to the place, or should I call it the reservation where I can choose to eat if I am not buying a takeaway. This time, I planned to eat there instead of taking it home.

So I went to order the food I would like to get from them. I ordered for
3 Amala worth #300 naira each ($0.33) and then bought Brokoto with 4 meats, which cost me 500 naira for the brokoto and 100 naira per meat, making a total of 900 naira, i.e., $1.00.

This was my plate of food for just $1.33. I don't know how much it would cost you to get a simple meal like mine. I liked the fact that I didn't have to hurt my pocket so much to get a meal like this and the food tasted really nice. Also I got a free drink from them.

I used the drink to take a selfie. I liked the drink a lot, as it tasted really great. I asked for the price of the drink, and I was told #150 naira, which is about $0.167. The only downside was that the drink was too small.

Overall, I must say I really enjoyed their customer service; they were smiling and joking with me all through. I was able to form a good relationship with them on my first visit, to the point of exchanging names.

It is a nice thing; the reason is that they would see me often. I would spend more of my money there, and at the same time, I hope they sell me larger portions of what I order. I hope I don't fall in love with them too much so that I don't end up finishing all the money I have on buying food.

Foodie boss:)

The only downside was that the drink was too small.

Lol please tell me you didn’t just complain about the size of a free drink.😂 You don’t get that first customer discount around here. Hell, even old loyal-to-the-bone customers don’t get it.😂😂

Lol.. don't mind me. I was just imagining buying it in the future for the price of #150 and the size of the drink is 35cl.

Smiles... they are nice people and it was a good marketing strategy to bring people to check them out.

!LOLZ

Good customer service along with good taste of the food can easily make us fall in love. Hehe. So there is a need to be cautious.

The food is looking sumptuous and you had all of it alone. Hmmmmm. Real foodie.

I am wondering about one thing. Is #1000 Naira is an easily payable amount by a Nigerian who earns in the native currency?

Exactly! I need to be cautious, and as much as I hate to say it, I would most likely go spend another $1.3 there or even more.

1000 naira is not a easily payable amount for someone who earns around the minimum wage, and many of the jobs available are of that range. If someone dash me #1000 Naira, I can prostrate and thank the person because I know the value of it.

Hmm. That's what I thought. 1000 Naira would be a bigger amount for someone earning in the native currency. Surely, it deserves to be appreciated if someone spends that much on us

Yeah they would really get, I told pearl to try their service and she really liked it. Actually I was the first returning Customer because I bought two times a day. I was promised they would reserve a big meat for me if I buy the same order of yesterday.
