Embracing Growth Through Reading and Goals

One of the things I consider very important in my life is the quest to find ways to keep growing, feeding my mind, and enriching my thoughts with the knowledge that will contribute to my growth in the future. And to do this, I have to watch, study, and read things that are related to the aspects in which I want to grow.

This is why I like self-help books; although some people think self-help books are not fully realistic and do not always apply to one's life, for me, I think that what I believe in will later work for me. It is just from the mind, and what you think would work for you eventually will.

Lately, I have not been reading books like I started earlier this year. This year was when I broke the record for actually finishing reading a book—not just a book; I finished reading three books. Before this, I always found it challenging to get to the middle page of a book when I started. I just get inconsistent and don't find it interesting to read again.

I hope I don't go back to being that old person, which is why I want to do my best to make reading a habit.

Now I feel the need to consume more knowledge from books as I pursue building my skills in different areas. That way, I get to develop the values by which I live, especially when it comes to decision-making.

I am reading Goals at the moment, and this is because one of the things that brings happiness and fulfilment to a man is attaining his goals. I have so many goals that have not been fulfilled, so reading books would inspire me to find ways to attain my goals and genuinely know what I want and how best to attain them.

I have only read a few pages of the book, and it has been in my possession for months, more like since the third month of this year. My earlier plan was to read 10 books this year, but I don't know how I can still fulfil this goal. If I am able to finish this book, then I will have six more books to read and finish.

Anyway, it only takes my mind to believe and for me to put little actions into making this happen. I would do my best to do so, and when I complete this goal, I would come back here to blog about it.

You are on the right track to embracing growth. When a man's goal is achieved, that man will become a happy and fulfilled man. Reading truly expands one knowledge and I believe it will inspire you into finding ways to achieve your set goals. Growth doesn't come when we don't seek ways to do better, it requires exploring news ideas and sometimes trying something different. Even if you don't finish 10 books this year as planned, the ones you read should be able to inspire you into achieving other goals you set and probably achieving a better growth in your life pursuit

All the best Star!

Self-help books have always attracted my attention, because they provide tools that, although they do not provide solutions to the problems we face, they help us find new ways to cope with them. That's what makes us different from those who give up.

Reading is a good way to grow our mental health. I find reading soft copy books more convenient than hard copies. It doesn't work for many though. I love the fact you have read 3 out of 10, it a gradual process but only consistency will make the pace faster.

Please, would you mind sharing more details about the book? Goal by who please? Let me check it out and read too.
