Onboard rally video of the day - Kalle Rovanpera with Škoda Fabia R5 at Sachsen-Rallye 2018

Did you know that this season's World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera drove for Škoda before he was signed by Toyota.

It seems that every top driver needs some time of learning and building of experience on the way to the top of the sport. Rovanpera did just like that as a Škoda works driver.

This is the best way because, as a works driver, you have all the expanses paid and you don't have to rent the rally car, which is quite expensive, and you just drive all the rallies the team decides you to enter.

Kalle Rovanpera is just an exceptional talent and from the early age, everyone knew that he could be the next champion. And he became one this year.

Here is the rally from his Škoda days and the event is Sachsen-Rallye 2018 from the German national Championship which was used as a testing rally for his Škoda team.
