Onboard rally video of the day - Esapekka Lappi with Toyota Yaris Rally1 at WRC Rally Portugal 2018

Oh, how I like this behind-a-driver camera angle because this way you can learn more about driver's technique and not only about roads of special stage.

OK, some people enjoy more watching from some other angle but I prefer more to see the driver's work because I always want to learn.

Super fast Finn Esapekka Lappi changed all the works team from World Rally Championship in recent years which means he is from a highest possible level of rallying. He drove for Toyota, Citroen, M-Sport Ford, Hyundai and we must also add Škoda in WRC2 category, all works teams.

He has only one win - that one from Finland from Toyota days. I don't understand why drivers leave the winning teams to some others where they don't have the car possible of highest places.

Lappi left Toyota for Citroen at the end of 2018 and that was major blow if you ask me. Citroen left the sport at the end of that season leaving Lappi without a job. M-Sport Ford gave him a seat at the last moment and saved a season.

The rest is history. Today we have his drive from Portugal from his second season with Toyota. Please enjoy... :)
