Hyundai WRC team enters Craig Breen for WRC Rally Sweden 2023 and whole Portuguese national rally championship
Hi, friends!
M-Sport Ford refugee Craig Breen came back to Hyundai World Rally Team, the team from where he departed to M-Sport.
He just didn't have a time of his life driving Ford Puma Rally1 car because of lot of retirements. There was also a big pressure on him because he was 1st driver at that team and there are some expectations from the top guy in the team to deliver some points and good results from every rally.
It seems that Breen couldn't handle that pressure because he rather chose part time WRC program with Hyundai then the full time seat at M-Sport Ford.
Now I hear that he will do the whole Portuguese national rally championship with Hyundai team Portugal which means back on one of the rallies from European Rally Championship because Portuguese Rally de Fafe is also counted for ERC.
I guess that Breen hopes to replace Dani Sordo at some point and that way has the full time seat ar Hyundai. But he forgets that Sordo rarely makes a miatake and always brings lot of points for his team.
Breen's first outing in 2023 will be WRC Rally Sweden, event which suits Breen much more then Sordo. Don't forget that these two guys share the third car at Hyundai.
