Farewell words from both parties - Ott Tanak and M-Sport Ford

M-Sport Ford didn't have a super successful 2023 season but they had one of the best available drivers on the market and I am talking about 2019 WRC champion Estonian Ott Tanak who brought them two wins this year - in Sweden and Chile.

It was all going well for first two rounds at Monte Carlo Rallye and Rally Sweden, and Tanak was leading a series after that first two rounds. But then some stupid mechanical issues came onboard and Tanak lost any chance to win the Championship against super reliable Toyota and now double WRC champion Kalle Rovanpera.

I must be sincere and say my thoughts: after M-Sport revealed that they are preparing Ford Ranger for Dakar series, it was all clear that Tanak won't win the Championship. Small team like them just can't work on both ways - WRC and Dakar series.

They just don't have the fundings to do both series properly and they tried. Better do on job best way then two in a worse manner.

On the other hand, Tanak wishes his (now) old team all the best and to be where they were once but that just won't be possible without full Ford works support. That's it...
