What Rebellion Says For Other Packs

The world pack selling in Splinterlands has been a wild one. Being someone that has been here since Alpha days I wanted to explore some history of the game and give a quick overview prediction of what I feel will be the next moves for the game.

Alpha

Alpha was a weird time. We were actually on steem at the time and called steem monsters. Boy has a lot changed just on that front. Alpha packs sold decently and if you still had one in pack format to this day and not opened you could fetch a good price for it.

BETA

Beta is when I got heavily involved in the game and even picked up a kick starter pack to build my own summoner. That summoner is Valnamor and I gotta say this dude packs a good punch for water.

I don't even think there's a gold foil of the card anymore on the market but in the last bull run it was going for something like $20,000 should I have sold it? Most likely yes lol If anyone wants it for $20,000 it's up for grabs :P

UNTAMED

We then rolled into Untamed and to be honest with you this was the time where I stopped doing much crypto stuff as I was busy building and launching my own business. Still some great cards here and value.

CHAOS

After launching my business and having great success with it I started to have more free time again and I heavily invested into Chaos. As many of you know this ended up being a huge mistake and the mishaps there after honestly spelled doom for the game for a while there.

REBELLION

Rebellion had some interesting new features with it such as the way airdrops worked. Now I didn't get too much value out of it myself with 112 packs bought it was still fun and I liked what I was seeing.

That being said we have only sold just shy of 1 million packs.

This I feel is a combination of a lot of negatives that happened over the last year and a half.

The first of which people really were not sure if the company and game where going to survive. I believe we are now past that and making better business decisions.(at least I hope) No reason why this game shouldn't be building massive passive income streams with the crypto it holds and even stables to generate some revenue for the game. Huge potential with that to turn this into a powerhouse of a web 3 game and make a really good example.

The other factor was I think a lot of people felt burned on the Chaos packs. I know I did. When you buy a pack you don't expect for it to be worth 1/5th what you bought it for instead it should slowly go up in value like all pervious decks have which are selling for around $7 each from the $2-$4 bought at.

And last once the markets and confidence did start to return it feels like people are at the point where they would rather save up and get ready for the next big pack release instead of jump in on Rebellion and I gotta be honest with you this is the boat I'm in while I'm building out my lands right now.

Future

I think lessons have been learned the good, the bad and even the ugly to the point where this next pack sale should hit a lot of the right marks and do rather well.

What are you thoughts?
