Voucher Cards A Powerful Addition

Vouchers have gotten a bad rep for a while now but with SPS staking rewards drying up I think they are going to only increasingly become more and more important and be one of the key reasons people stake SPS.

A few months back we got our first voucher card which was and is a pretty decent card.

Now personally I was able to get this card up to level 6 and honestly that's a pretty solid card at that level. Since it was a common card it also wasn't that expensive and you can still pick a number of them up off the market for just $0.18 a pop.

I may level up this card in the future but I think this is a great case where just having a little bit of SPS staked in your account comes with a nice perk of being able to pick up a few cards to add to your deck.

Now we jump into the next and I'm curious performance wise. I understand why this card has such a high voucher cost per card at 1,500 but I wonder if it will prevent people from staking more SPS since it's such a huge amount.

On the flip side of that though it could end up increasing the price of vouchers as people buy them off the market which is also a good thing in itself.

This overall just gives vouchers a random value now and soon one that the team will need to try to balance based on how many cards people can even pick up with vouchers (perhaps offering up a DEC price as well in the future could be a good move?)

Now this card packs one heck of a punch and as it should coming in at 1,500 vouchers is understandable since the card is a legendary one.

The only thing I don't like about this one is still having to buy 25 cards in order to be guaranteed a gold foil card. You only need I think 11 cards to max level this thing so in order to be guaranteed a gold foil card you're going to have two max level cards and some left over which just feels weird. That would be my only negative feedback for the next rare, epic or legendary card to be a little more in line with gold foils to voucher ratio. Unless my thinking on that is wrong I'd love to hear opinions.
