It's Time To Support Powerful Applications On Hive

For the longest time I've felt along with many that the DHF has been being abused. I will have to say it's been reduced as of late and that's a step in the right direction.

Just so you have an idea of my mindset on all of this. If a application is asking for DHF funds it damn well better be able to be self sufficient after the first round (a year in most cases) or at least as for less funds in the future as it becomes self sufficient and starts to provide value back to hive.

Now of course there are some unique cases to this such as core dev work, applications we use such as keychain (but even key chain should become self sufficient since it now offers swaps)

What bothers me the most is when a application that very well could generate funds or is already and taps hundreds of thousands out of the DHF.

With that aside lets take a look at the newest DHF Proposal in which I feel needs to be passed otherwise my faith in hive is legit gone.

It is Splinterlands asking for a decent sum of money in order to continue support, growth and remain on the hive blockchain.

Splinterlands has been the single best application over hives life so far that provided not only a massive spike to the price of hive during the bull run but also onboarding thousands of new users maybe even hundreds of thousands of users over the years.

It's bought, burned and provided massive liquidity to the hive eco system over those years and it still does. However the business is struggling a bit and is asking for a little support from the core blockchain it runs on.

To me this is a new brainer as we have already seen the tremendous value Splinterlands has already provided to hive. They are also the same people that brought us hive-engine. And I don't care what you say about it if it's really a layer 2 option or not. But it's sparked many other applications to be able to build on hive that we have come to love like DCrops, Terracore, GolemOverlord and yes even our beloved community InLeo

Splinterlands is currently in the building phases of something that will be massive for the hive blockchain. It's a system that will run on swapping fees in a full blow ecosystem but it's going to take a little time to get there and these funds will greatly help.

Trust me I've seen worse projects that provided less value to hive get more funding over the years which is why I say if we can't realize the benefits Splinterlands has brought to hive over the years and will most likely bring to hive over the years to come then my faith in the Hive blockchain will be gone. However it if passes a bit of that will be restored and I believe many people currently feel this way.

So let's get this voted in and push this over the threshold for support. Power up that hive and cast your votes!
