Good day, everyone! I'm back to creating Splinterlands fan art. After a week of non-stop rain, we've finally had two days of hot weather in our town. The past few weeks have been so busy that I haven't had enough time to work on art for the previous weeks. For this fan art piece, I chose to depict the Twisted Jester from the Death Element. Twisted Jester is a Rare card and from Alpha/Beta Card Set If you would also like to participate, check Splinterlands' post here - here.

Here is the card reference image of Twisted Jester in Splinterlands.

He is not here for your amusement. The Twisted Jester is the Captain of the personal bodyguard for the Lord of Darkness himself. While most Dark Eternals completely forget everything from their living past, the memory of his family’s slaughter continues to curse and plague him with rage every day.

Here are the materials that I used to create this fan art.

Android Tablet
Clip Studio Paint Mobile Application
Poseit Mobile Application

I used a 3D mannequin to create a pose, in which the character points down toward the audience. After finalizing the pose, I saved it as an image and uploaded it to Clip Studio Paint. In Clip Studio Paint, I began creating my fan art, starting with the line art and progressing through the rendering process. Below, you can see the step-by-step images of my work.

Here is the final output of my fan art.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating the reference pose using the Poseit Mobile Application; it greatly helped me in capturing the essence of this fan art. I particularly had fun in creating the glowing aura emanating from the character's main body. To achieve this effect, I duplicated the line art layer, increased the line width, filled it with a solid purple color, and applied a Gaussian blur. The red strings in the background are the same ones that were tied to his mouth. I wanted this fan art to convey a downward-pointing stance, symbolizing that this character is not to be messed up with. I hope I've done justice to Twisted Jester's wicked image.

For the thumbnail, I uploaded the image to Canva and added the Splinterlands logo.

Is that 3D mannequin a free app or what is it? I find it interesting to start drawing. I find it very practical. Just look at the drawing you managed to create, it's great.

Thank you! The app's name is Poseit, and you can download it from the Play Store. It offers a free version, with the only difference from the paid version being the number of presets. :)
