Oi, estou aqui mais uma vez, para compartilhar com vocês uma grande surpresa que tive em minha vida nessas últimas semanas. Descobri que estou grávida! E resolvi dividir com vocês como tudo chegou, mediante a minha gravidez que não planejada.

Vou tentar ´postar tudo dessa experiencia por aqui sempre que puder.

Como eu descobri a gravidez?

Há aproximadamente 1 mês, depois de apresentar alguns sintomas, como: náusea, mal estar, tonturas e fraqueza. Resolvi fazer um teste de farmácia de gravidez, totalmente desacreditada dessa hipótese. Para minha total surpresa, o teste deu positivo e a segunda linha apareceu.

Nesse dia, eu estava sozinha em casa e me sentindo mal. O Filipe que tava participando de um evento sobre Blockchains(RioBlockchainFestival) no Centro do Rio, e quando soube da notícia voltou pra casa na mesma hora e conversamos muito a respeito, para entender toda a situação e pra ver qual seria o próximo passo.

Embora os testes de farmácia seja 99% confiável, eu quis confirmar o resultado indo até a clínica da família onde nossa família recebe suporte para confirmar a gravidez. E assim, com a cabeça mais fria, no outro dia nós (eu e Filipe) fomos na clínica da família e reafirmamos o resultado.

No mesmo dia fiz uma série de exames e comecei a fazer o pré natal com a enfermeira que me acompanha há algum tempo na clínica.

Como a notícia chegou para mim?

Sinceramente eu fiquei apavorada. E não me via como mãe, através dos dias a ideia vem sendo construída na minha cabeça. Eu espero muito poder dar o meu melhor pro pequeno que está por vir. Tenho feito muita oração para eu ter sabedoria e fazer boas escolhas como mãe de primeira viajem.

Aos poucos, sinto um sentimento novo surgindo dentro de mim diferente de tudo o que já senti antes e que ainda não sei o nome, tão pouco dá para descrever.

Quantos meses o neném tem?

Semana passada, no dia 04/10, quarta-feira, depois de uma ultra, descobrimos que estava com 09 semanas (2 meses de gestação) agora já estou com 10 semanas.

Ouvimos pela primeira vez o coração do neném e tivemos a primeira imagem dele. Foi bonitinho ver que a mãozinha já se mexe. Apesar de ser tão pequeno ainda.

Segundo algumas pesquisas que fiz no Google, no segunda mês, se comparado o tamanho o neném ainda é do tamanho de uma azeitona.

O vídeo e próximos passos

No vídeo a médica nos mostrou e explicou algumas informações. Como saco gestacional, embrião e feto.

No vídeo foi exatamente o momento em que ouvimos pela primeira vez o coração do bebê e foi emocionante. O exame foi rápido e antes de ela permitir que filmássemos ela fez varias medições como tamanho do saco gestacional, tamanho do bebê e outras informações que precisamos levar para o nosso pré-natal.

Agora o próximo passo é fazer exame de sangue e depois entre a 12 segunda semana e 13 tem outra ultra que precisamos fazer. E lá pra 16 semana faremos a ultra que vai revelar o sexo do bebê. Até poderíamos saber o sexo através de um exame de sangue especifico, mas provavelmente iremos esperar.

Hi, I'm here once again to share with you a big surprise I've had in my life over the last few weeks. I found out I'm pregnant! And I've decided to share with you how it all came about, through my unplanned pregnancy.

I'll try to post everything about this experience here as often as I can.

How did I find out I was pregnant?

About a month ago, after experiencing some symptoms, such as: nausea, feeling sick, dizziness and weakness. I decided to take a pharmacy pregnancy test, totally disbelieving this hypothesis. To my total surprise, the test came back positive and the second line appeared.

That day, I was alone at home and feeling unwell. Filipe, who was taking part in an event about Blockchains (RioBlockchainFestival) in the center of Rio, came home immediately when he heard the news and we talked a lot about it, to understand the whole situation and to see what the next step would be.

Although pharmacy tests are 99% reliable, I wanted to confirm the result by going to the family clinic where our family receives support to confirm the pregnancy. And so, with a cooler head, the other day we (Filipe and I) went to the family clinic and reaffirmed the result.

On the same day, I had a series of tests and started my prenatal care with the nurse who had been with me at the clinic for some time.

How did the news reach me?

Honestly, I was terrified. I didn't see myself as a mother, but over the days the idea has been building up in my head. I really hope I can give my best to the little one who is to come. I've been praying a lot for wisdom and to make good choices as a first-time mother.

Little by little, I feel a new feeling rising up inside me, unlike anything I've ever felt before, which I still don't know the name of and can't describe.

How old is the baby?

Last week, on Wednesday October 4th, after an ultrasound, we found out that I was 9 weeks along (2 months pregnant) and now I'm 10 weeks along.

We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time and got our first picture of him. It was nice to see that his little hand is already moving. Even though he's still so small.

According to some research I did on Google, in the second month, if you compare the size, the baby is still the size of an olive.

The video and next steps

In the video, the doctor showed us and explained some information. Such as gestational sac, embryo and fetus.

In the video, we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time and it was exciting. The examination was quick and before she allowed us to film it she took various measurements such as the size of the gestational sac, the size of the baby and other information that we need to take into our prenatal care.

Now the next step is to take a blood test and then between the 12th and 13th weeks there's another ultrasound we need to do. And by the 16th week we'll have the ultrasound that will reveal the baby's sex. We could even find out the sex through a specific blood test, but we'll probably wait.
