New Dad Discovery At 17Years

It's really a topic that will sprout out emotions depending on your current predicament before receiving the call.... What I mean here is that it clearly depends on if you have someone you live with and calls a father before you received the call or you were alone battling and bustling the world on your own or perhaps with your mum.

For the purpose of this prompt, I will be writing from the view of someone who has someone I call a father...

Phone rings, picks it up and......

Elon: I am Elon Musk

Me: Interesting, which of the Elon Musk, pardon?

Elon: The one you know

Takes a moment to laugh and then reply...

Me: Oh... You scammers now use someone's name to scam people?

Elon: I am for real and I am your father... If you don't mind could you come over, I will send my PA to pick you up.......

Keeps mute till the phone call cuts from his end...

Now, I'm 17years old (👀, I wish😂)..... Should I be happy or should I be sad?

Am I meant to jump up that my father is richest man on the earth?

Should I really care about a man who never cared to ask about how I survived all these while until now that I am 17 and just jumps out of the blue from nowhere to say he's my father?

There are really many unanswered questions to this that I won't love to delve into answering because my lacrimal glands will never stop working till my buckets are filled up with tears.....

In all honesty, at first, I will be doubtful after receiving this call but then, what happens when my mum gives credibility to the call?

It then becomes what I can't do without and will have to admit it because the fact will always be the fact regardless of how acceptable it was as to you.

Nevertheless, isn't it something nice to take a big jump from a pendulous balance of #1000 and #100 every week to thousands of Naira never to drop down to #100.... Of course, Elon is my father, ain't it? Hehehe.

I will go with the PA to meet my so called father and be rest assured, I will just do much of a response rather than bringing up topics to talk about in that first visit while I take moments to look around the environment I would have enjoyed growing up.... Phewww.

Definitely, he will give me money since he has a lot before I go home.
On getting home, I will tell my mum how it went and then quickly call my trusted friends to disclose the news to them over bottles of alcohol and nicely prepared meats....

After that, I will go to him for a second time and then at that time, I will ask some important questions as to why it is now that he declared interest regarding my existence and look out for what he will answer...
Then I will tell him about the stage I am in my life now and then see how he can come in to make my life better.

But to be honest..... It's a situation I really can't fully say what will happen in paper because for all the moments I've seen it in movies, there's always almost never complete bonding.
