My Tales with my grandmother's phone and her cat

"Stop pressing that phone before you put virus in my phone's battery", a young girl in my compound shouted at her brother.

I could not control myself and started rolling on the floor in laughter because she did not even know she was wrong and was shouting it at the top of her voice, hehehe.

When I was done laughing, I was taken aback to two weeks ago when I went to visit my grandmother and that's the inspiration behind this post.

Tales With My Grandmother's Phone

In the morning of a good Monday morning, my grandmother called me and said, *"Go and get food for my phone"

I was confused, I could not understand what she meant.
When did phone start eating food? I asked myself rhetorically.

I was still trying to know exactly what she wanted before the girl she stays with came to my rescue and told me she meant I should get airtime for her so she could make calls.

I couldn't stop laughing as to the way she interpreted airtime in her own way instead of calling it airtime/credit, lol.
Funny enough I tried linking both of them up and maybe she was right anyway, hehehe.

I was bored at a point and wanted to play the Candy crush game installed in her phone and picked it up.
Few minutes later, she came out and we were discussing before her eyes went to my hands and she saw me seriously pressing her phone and shouted saying that is the reason why her phone's food doesn't last.. that whatever I am doing on the phone is taking away her phone's food.

I bursted out of laughter because I didn't even know where to start explaining, how do I want to explain that Candy Crush doesn't consume airtime when she could see the fruits slashing down.. I go explain tire without evidence, lolz.

With My Grandmother's Cat

What I can't forget was getting home and a cat welcoming me even before I saw my grandmother, hehe.

No doubts, the cat was very lovely and beautiful... Would be very great as a pet.
Not until I asked my grandmother why she bought the cat and she told me it's to help her kill all the rats going to the storage room.

At first I didn't think it through but I looked at the cat again and was like, Is it this small cat that will kill those rats?

If you've been to village and seen the calibre of rats there, you will attest to the fact that some of them are even bigger than this cat, so who exactly will be killing who, hehe.

My grandmother started laughing saying it will still grow up, hehehe.

It was really fun spending time with my grandmother for those few days... They can be mean with their words but deep down they are just saying some of those words out of ignorance and their love is never a doubt.

Maybe in few months time I'll go check out the cat to see how big it has grown that's if the rats don't kill it, hehe.
