Equality In View....

All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop our talent.

What Does An Equal World Mean?

An equal world is one in which there is equal and easy access to opportunities and resources, economic participation and decision making for both genders regardless of financial and social status.

According to here

In addition to this definition, I'll be adding where everyone is created equal too.

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAyzKhJzawjAnpZVPV4BTUgXQgevipxojgGca8HQiNacgNnd3p9YWFkpDrxMbRB7oT2caY9jaK4vboQS2LQGEfNMmu1guFfCfp.webp

Do You Believe Everyone Is Created Equal?

NO

For me, Equality is just one of those words that's used more than its' practicability and obtainabilty in the world.

We keep using it all day long whereas there are just few moments we've seen Equality displayed on earth or (is it because I am in Nigeria?)

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAyzKhJzawjAnpZVPV4BTUgXQgevipxojgGca8HQiNacgNnd3p9YWFkpDrxMbRB7oT2caY9jaK4vboQS2LQGEfNMmu1guFfCfp.webp

Why Do You Think So?

There are many facts to support my claims and they are glaring to everyone too, hehehe

We are created with:

Different heights, weight, IQ, Financial strength, skin colours...

Lastly, all fingers are not equal is a statement we all know.

Man A goes to a work interview with Man B and even though Man A was more qualified, Man B was selected because he knows someone that somehow knew the person incharge......

Is That Equality In Selection?
I'll leave you to answer........

What Do You Feel Can Be Done To Make The People Of The World More Equal?

To create an equal world, I will be writing five different letters to five different authorities...
When they read and work by the dictates of the letter, I believe the world will be better.

  • Letter To God:

We are all created by God, no one came into the world like Kyle XY.

Imagine when God creates every human being with the same abilities and uniqueness.πŸ€”

Everyone is given birth to with the same everything from hair to toe...

That is the step one of solving the inequality problem for me .

This is because some were given birth to with various congenital diseases and malformations, by virtue of this, their chances of success in life Is already limited.

But in this letter, I will beg God to create all human beings equal in all ramifications so that when they come out of the world, with other factors I will list below, they will have equal fighting chance with every person else and hence, equality will be in view.

  • Letter To Government Officials:

The next set of people who will be receiving my letter will be the Government officials.

To make the world an equal place, the Government Officials have big roles to play in improving the standard of our living by building good health infrastructures, providing good securities, improving the salary and wages of workers and building schools to be accessible to everyone regardless of your location.

By so doing, they are already creating an equal world as everyone will have an almost equal access to information and opportunities that will better their living.

The government should also set a limit to wealth, the amount of money an individual could accumulate because it is counterproductive to say equality when Mr. A has hundreds of billions and still accumulating more even when Mr. B rarely feeds.
Thank God for our BVN, so this could be done if they want to.

  • Letter To Parents:

Our fathers and mothers are the basic building blocks of our families, hence, they will be receiving a letter too.

I really think most families are suffering and feels they're not equal with their rich neighbors not because the parents are not trying but because they gave birth to above what they could take care of with their pay.

Imagine the life where every family is mandated to give birth to a maximum of four children....πŸ€”

This will enable even the person earning the least pay to be able to provide for his children comfortably

Don't you think we will be having an equal world in view?

  • Letter To Youths:

Most times, the way we spend our old age lies on the way we built our life as youths, when we were filled with energy.

Hence, the letter will be sent to the youths also.

This is to warn them to make proper good use of their youthful age.

Since God would've created everyone with equal strength and everything.... The letter would be to tell them the importance of hardwork and dedication to their life goals.

When the Youths adhere to the letter instruction, an equal world might be in view.

  • Letter To Older People:

Finally, the last letter will go to the old people on earth.
Most old persons are still working even when they have retired.

The letter should be to tell the working set amongst them who have exceeded their retirement age but stepped it down to vacate their positions so that the younger generation could take up those works and build their lives too.
By so doing, I think we will be achieving a better and equal world

2dk2RRM2dZ8gKjXsrozapsD83FxL3Xbyyi5LFttAhrXxr16mCe4arfLHA37mQtCuynkak9C9VAyzKhJzawjAnpZVPV4BTUgXQgevipxojgGca8HQiNacgNnd3p9YWFkpDrxMbRB7oT2caY9jaK4vboQS2LQGEfNMmu1guFfCfp.webp

Equality when practiced will be a very good thing I must say but even if it seems like it's not achieved so far, your energy should'nt be channelled so deep to see that you are equal with people, it should be channelled at living a good life, always trying to be better than you were yesterday.

By the way,

Galatians 3:28 tells us that,

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

So We Are All Equal Already.

Thanks for reading through πŸ‘

Hmmm!! Indeed equality is something we practice only with our lips but not in action. Even law makers across the world are breaking this very law. Outside they say we are equal but deep within we are not.

The rich man sees the poor man as his slave, the poor man sees the rich man as an enemy.

In terms of opportunities, only those who have upper hand have valid rights, your qualifications are not the concern of anyone. Yet they will come forth as say we are all equal, how comes their children are far ahead of us, how comes the families of the rich are the ones getting all the jobs and the poor man is always writing applications?

Of a truth equality is something the world need but achieving it, is not going to be as easy as we say it. Ordinarily we are supposed to be treated alike, we are all humans, I know all fingers are not equal, but you can keep your pride away and allow love lead you. We know you are in power but if you humble yourself and act just you will not die.

God knows why he gave us gifts in measures, some are richer than the rest, some intelligent than others but with all these things, we can still treat our fellow men equally if we want. It is just about doing what is right and nothing more. If we abide by the law we will never be biased in whatever we do.

the poor man is always writing applications?

It's a world of deceit.... A painful world we found ourselves in😒

Love is the only true solution for equality to come.... This is because where there is love, there is everything good

Imagine God creating everyone equally in all ramifications and taking the house of God for example, everyone would want to become pastors, choristers, evangelists etc and no one would appreciate the other... just my opinion on this. This is why He made us equal in rights and freedom to access all benefits attached to serving Him. His love is equal too.

Yes, the government should work on providing everything equally to make everyone access them with no one excluded irrespective of their gender and location.

You're not entirely wrong but then, when everyone is created equally with no variations, then comes in choices

Having the ability the other has, you will be able to make your own choice as to what exactly you want... Believe me, everyone won't like to be a choiristers even when they all have the voice just the way not all doctors who have graduated are practicing

Great script

Unfortunately there can be no limit to accumulation of wealth for that is the divide between the rich and the poor

And maximizing number of children, some nations have strong laws about that however in Nigeria,it would hardly materialize.
Our health insurance says maximum of four children as beneficiaries

Thank you

That's the problem.... Some beautiful laws are not been enforced and that's where our problem starts... We take everything thrown at us here in Nigeria.

If there could not be a Balance in wealth and there's no love, literally equality is just a mirage

I enjoyed reading this and the way you have pointed out everyone fault in a world obsessed with the idea of inequality is awesome.

Achieving equality in the world not something I see as something possible because of just one reason which is the ability to embrace one another differences.

Honestly....it's not an idea that seems possible at all.

When we lack love, we are virtually lacking in all aspects

Thank you for writing. I enjoyed reading your ideas. I believe you are Nigerian and as such have very different viewpoints than myself as a Canadian. Let me give you some counterpoints from someone who sees the other side of the coin.

God:

Everyone equal?

I understand that you want no person to be born with deformities or abnormalities. However, most in Canada the majority of congenital defects are corrected for free at birth. However, God has nothing to do with babies being disadvantaged due to things like Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or Drug Addiction. Those are placed firmly on the parents. Also if everyone was equal where do you draw the line on equal? Should everyone come out black? White? Brown? My white skin would be a 'birth defect' in a country with a lot of sun. My blue eyes would be a hinderance in a place with a lot of sun. So, should everyone be born with black skin and brown eyes? Variety is important.

Government

Limit on wealth?

I understand all too well how people who are poor get upset at those who have wealth! I scrounged through garbage when I was a child because I was poor. I've known what it is like to have no food on the table and see my mom cry because there was no money to look after us. I've had to live with strangers for a while because my Mom couldn't find work with two children with her.

... I may not know poverty like many in Nigeria but I'm no stranger to not having money.

However, I've worked hard and saved diligently. At this point in my life I would say I am rich although my wife would disagree. I have used that wealth to buy rental properties that make income from. However, I always make sure to put rent money aside so I can keep the property repaired. Give allowances when the tenant is late in the rent. Give money back when I know the tenant is in need. Also, I typically charge less than the average rent in the area.

Why? Because I want to use my wealth to benefit myself AND the renter.

Giving to the church is also important to me and helping good causes in town also important.

I really dislike the idea of having the government take what I've worked hard for because I believe I can accomplish more with my money than the government would. Governments are known for waste and corruption wherever you live!

Now... If the government could outlaw GREED then I'd be all for that.

Honestly, if the government could put limits on advertising and luxury items so that there isn't a constant society of you need more luxury to be happy I'd be all for that.

If the government could educate children early on the benefits of community, helping, kindness and looking after others. Awesome! If the government puts plans into place to encourage those with wealth to help those without again I would wholeheartedly support that.

But stealing what I've worked hard to attain only to have it squandered in government mismanagement. I can't encourage that.

As for government building infrastructure and ability for everyone to get education and healthcare with better wages wherever they live. It sounds good in theory but in practice it can get murky.

As I'm in the healthcare profession and you are an aspiring doctor I'll give healthcare examples. First: In Canada healthcare is free. Taxpayers pay for it through their taxes. Canada also has a drug abuse problem, especially fentanyl. It is not uncommon for a drug user to be found unresponsive, treated with Narcan, taken to the hospital, and resuscitated. In many cases Emergency rooms will be full because of complications due to drug abuse. Once revived the person is send on their way...in many cases only to overdose and be back in the hospital again, and again and again. Some people are into the hospital 3 or more times a week for drug overdoses.....and its my tax dollars paying to keep them alive. While my son has to go to a crowded ER when he has a finger that is ripped off waiting in triage.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't treat those with addiction, just know that limitations are necessary.

Another example. We had flooding in our area last year and getting to the dialysis unit was very hard for some areas. The governments response was to relocate those people needing dialysis to a nice hotel ($200 HBD per night) and pay for their meals and transportation to the dialysis unit. My wife who was a nurse got nothing but complaints from the patients: The meals weren't vegan. The taxi was uncomfortable. The room was too small and more.

Even if the supports are there some people will always want more.

Parents:

Limit your children?

Four children? Wow. In Canada we have an average of 2.1. We have an opposite problem. There are more jobs than children to fill them. People who want to retire can't because there is no-one to take their place. The children of course know that there are lots of jobs so they only take the easiest ones. To make things worse, the government will provide everyone with a basic income so the children know that they can sometimes make more by NOT working at a menial job and just taking the government subsidy.

However I would tell parents: Don't have children unless you are willing to love and take care of them. Every child needs love from a dedicated parent and being a parent is hard. If you have enough love, time, and resources for many children then have many children. If you don't have enough love, time, or resources for your children then please don't start having them.

Youth:

Hardwork and Dedication?

Yes please! Totally agree here.

Although a more important thing I'd want to treat them is to be kind, loving and accepting of others in the community even if they are different from you. If children learn that when they are young then community is better when they grow.

Elderly:

Step down to vacate positions?

Haha... I think that's more a problem in Nigeria than in Canada. I want to retire, I really do. However, my job has been posted for two months and my boss still can't find a replacement. I'm stuck working until someone wants my job 😁.

Honestly though I'd tell the elderly to share their Wisdom and time with the next generation. The younger generation may not want to hear it (their loss) but learning from those who have been there and have the gray hairs to prove it typically have something worth passing on.

Please, I hope you don't think that I am discounting what you said.

You had many good points and I don't disagree with what you said in your situation.

I just wanted to say that your points may not work everywhere

Thank you for writing!

I just wanted to say that your points may not work everywhere

Yes, the practicability isn't feasible and that's also why it's not possible to have an Equal World.

But really really, I'm quite impressed by the way you took your time, read and dropped this wonderful comment... I really appreciate and I'm glad you left this.

Made me see the world from another point of view also
Truth is that most things depends on us humans.... We lie on our bed just the way we lie on it

Thanks a lot
