City Garden Mall: 20 years under construction 👷♂️
To culminate a work of architecture can take much more time than estimated if some interests are faced, in my region there is a construction that intrigues me, it has been in process for more than two decades and I believe that it still lacks time for its inauguration. In architecture and design, time is a determining factor both for the completion of the work and project as well as for maintaining its attractiveness in time.
The architects of the City Garden have had to maintain an innovative design without knowing the date of completion, when this project began I worked nearby and had to pass by the front twice a day, it was inevitable not to see it, its imposing structure, originality and beauty steals everyone's eyes. I always liked it, but this is the first time that I have dedicated myself to photograph and investigate a little for this community, in a single source I found its name and some details that I share as it has a capacity for 1200 parking spaces distributed in 9 levels.
Culminar una obra de arquitectura puede llevar mucho más tiempo de lo estimado si se enfrentan algunos intereses, en mi región existe una construcción que me intriga, lleva más de dos décadas en proceso y creo que le falta todavía tiempo para su inauguración. En la arquitectura y el diseño el tiempo es un factor determinante tanto para la culminación de la obra y proyecto como para mantener su atractivo en tiempo.
Los arquitectos del City Garden han tenido que mantener un diseño innovador sin saber la fecha de culminación, cuando se inició este proyecto yo trabajaba cerca y tenía que pasar dos veces al día por el frente, era inevitable no verlo, su imponente estructura, originalidad y belleza roba las miradas de todos. Siempre me gustó, pero es la primera vez que me dedico a fotografiar e investigar un poco para esta la comunidad, en una sola fuente encontré su nombre y algunos detalles que comparto como que tiene capacidad para 1200 puestos de estacionamiento distribuidos en 9 niveles.

This mall is located in front of Las Delicias avenue and on one side with Jose Maria Vargas avenue, in Maracay, Venezuela, one day I was coming from the anticancerous a health center walking towards the main avenue to take the bus and I stopped to see it, I took out my cell phone and started to take these pictures, a little bit in a hurry, since I had almost no battery.
I started on the side of the parking lot that is still under construction, on the upper level there is a very large crane, although it was against the light, I could count 7 floors and this mall will also have subway parking.
Most of the walls are in bare concrete with details of lines and squares that look nice, the gate and grates of the parking lot let the light in like shutters.
When the parking area is finished, another aesthetic of the shopping center begins to be seen, the walls are covered with a blue sheet at the bottom and the rest of the walls are white, with large blue mirror type windows. For the green areas they made planters that already have plants and the sidewalk is decorated with small light poles that at night should look very nice.

Este centro comercial está ubicado por su frente en avenida las delicias y por un lateral con la avenida Jose María Vargas, en Maracay, Venezuela, un día venía desde el anticanceroso un centro de salud caminando hacia la avenida principal para agarrar bus y me detuve a verlo saque mi celular y comencé a sacar estas fotos, algo apurada, ya que no tenía casi batería.
Comencé por el lado del estacionamiento que sigue en construcción, en el nivel superior está una grúa muy grande, aunque estaba en contra luz, pude contar 7 pisos y este centro comercial también tendrá estacionamiento subterráneo.
La mayoría de las paredes están en concreto desnudo con detalles de líneas y cuadrados que se ven bonitos, el portón y las rejas del estacionamiento dejan entrar a la luz tipo persianas.
Al terminar el área del estacionamiento se comienza a ver otra estética del centro comercial, las paredes son cubiertas con una lámina azul en la parte de abajo y las demás hacia arriba blancas, con ventanales grandes tipo espejo de color azul. Para las áreas verdes hicieron jardineras que ya tienen plantas y la acera está decorada con pequeños postes de luz que en la noche deben verse muy bonitos.
As you continue walking you can see about 12 stairs that are the entrance and exit of passersby on that side, these stairs are made of resistant and beautiful materials such as marble or porcelain, you can also see the first signs of vandalism and deterioration, broken windows and spray marks on the walls.
As it is an architecture that has a long time, the trees that were planted for the green area have already grown more than normal, claiming space and lifting the sidewalks with the strength of their roots, sidewalks that also have decorative details.
On Las Delicias Avenue is the main entrance, which consists of an open entrance and at the top of the stairs, two circular columns lined with details that have fallen or have been stolen, the roof also shows deterioration and the doors are broken, the glass is broken. As a security measure, wood was placed to seal the entrances and prevent the internal spaces of the shopping center from being occupied by homeless people.
Al seguir caminando se puede ver unas 12 escaleras que son la entrada y salida de transeúntes en ese lateral, estas escaleras son de materiales resistentes y hermosos como de mármol o porcelana, también se pueden ver los primeros signos de vandalismo y deterioro, ventanas partidas y marcas de spray en las paredes.
Como es una arquitectura que tiene mucho tiempo, los árboles que se sembraron para el área verde ya han crecido más de lo normal, reclamando espacio y levantando las aceras con la fuerza de sus raíces, aceras que también tienen detalles decorativos.
Por la avenida las Delicias está la entrada principal, que consta de una entrada abierta y al culminar las escaleras, dos columnas circulares forradas con detalles que se han caído o han sido sustraídos, el techo también muestra deterioro y las puertas están rotas, los vidrios partidos. Como medida de seguridad colocaron madera para sellar las entradas y evitar que los espacios internos del centro comercial fueran ocupados por personas en condición de calle.
From afar you can see its large size and gives the impression that it lacks little, even has frames for advertising advertisers, take pictures at many angles and cross the avenue, show how beautiful it is and if up to this point you have not noticed its major architectural attraction I mention it to you, for me it highlights the overhang of the main walls, both the main street and the side at the top slope down emphasizing the horizontal lines of blue and white.
The economic situation, the fiscal measures and the new laws must be the cause of the delay of this work, I wish they finish it soon to be able to fully enjoy the construction.
Desde lejos se puede ver su gran tamaño y da la impresión de que le falta poco, tiene incluso los marcos para la publicidad de los anunciantes, tome fotos en muchos ángulos y cruce la avenida, mostrar lo hermoso que es y si hasta este momento no te has percatado de su mayor atractivo arquitectónico te lo menciono, para mí se destaca la saliente de las paredes principales, tanto de la calle principal como la lateral en la parte superior se inclinan hacia abajo enfatizándolo las líneas horizontales de color azul y blanco.
La situación económica, las medidas fiscales y las nuevas leyes deben ser la causa del retraso de esta obra, deseo que la terminen pronto para poder disfrutar por completo de la construcción.

He says that in his youth he had a girlfriend in that area and he spent time traveling a lot, also through the state of Aragua. Whenever one passes in front of that large construction, he tells me that he went to that space, which was formerly empty and a drive-in theater operated. What he always tells me catches my attention quite a bit. He says that it was so many years ago and that they then began to build that large structure that is currently there, and they have not finished finishing the work.

Eso es bueno; prácticamente ese lado está paralizado, esa esquina. Todo el mundo pasa y pasa, y poco es lo que se exterioriza de eso. Me hiciste recordar, con tu publicación, a mi padre, quien ya tiene 60 años. Él dice que en su juventud tuvo una novia por esa zona y vivió un tiempo viajando bastante, también por el estado Aragua. Siempre que uno pasa frente a esa gran construcción, me comenta que él iba hasta ese espacio, el cual antiguamente era vacío y funcionaba un autocine. Me llama bastante la atención eso que él siempre me cuenta. Dice que fue hace tanto años atrás y que luego comenzaron a construir esa gran estructura que se encuentra actualmente, y nada que terminan de finiquitar las obras.
Hola amiga que interesante no sabia que en ese terreno habia un autocine, alomejor hay fotos antiguas de ese lugar, tienes demasido tiempo en construccion yo asumo que la idea original a evolucionado con los años, por lo menos la parte interna.

I hope this building complex will be completed as soon as possible considering the value of the area. Although the construction work has not been completed, it is clear that it has been planned in a good way.
