ESP|ENG Acompañame a conocer Sapezal:
*Yesterday, we left very early, at 4:00 am, to embark on an adventure that will last about a month. We traveled about 373 miles by motorcycle.
While it was still dark, I felt scared because there are many big trucks on the highway, some as long as 84 feet, but everything went smoothly. We dressed warmly and had a good night's rest the night before.
Something my partner and I share is a fascination with nature. I couldn't resist taking a photo when the sun's rays were peeking over the horizon and the moon was still visible. A bit later, he said, "turn around," and behind us was the beautiful sun among pink and orange colors—it was breathtaking ✨
The state of Mato Grosso, where Sapezal is located, is very rich in farming and livestock. Along the way, we saw extensive plantations of cotton, sugarcane, soybeans, bananas, and corn.
We had to stop occasionally to stretch our legs. During one of these stops, we noticed the motorcycle was leaking oil, but it wasn't serious. The rubber seal on the cap had broken, but my husband had brought a spare one. We replenished the oil and continued.
We crossed several bridges over beautiful rivers and streams, and finally, around 1:00 pm, we reached our destination: Sapezal. We had lunch at a simple place with delicious food. I only took this photo of my husband because, honestly, I was very hungry and eager to see the place where we would be staying.
But it's not all sunshine and roses. We came for work, rented a room with no furniture, and traveled by motorcycle, so we barely managed to bring an inflatable mattress and some clothes in our luggage. We'll figure out the food as we go... I don't want to stress too much about it. For almost a month, we'll have a different kind of life here, so we're keeping a positive attitude. I have to go now to organize a bit because our luggage looks like it's spilling our clothes everywhere* 😅🏃🏻♀️
