ENG|ESP ✨Las cosas van bien... ✨

When we arrived at the place we rented here in Sapezal, we found an abandoned stove in the yard. At first, we thought it belonged to a neighbor since we didn’t know anyone around.

A few days ago, a very kind lady named Luciana. who turned out to be the wife of the owner, came to check on us. She explained that the previous tenant had left the stove, but the burners were very rusty. She offered to accompany me to buy new ones. Even though she was a stranger, I agreed because of her kindness.

We went on a motorcycle and visited at least five places looking for the burners of that model without success, until we ended up in a used goods store. The place had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was quite unpleasant 🥴. Additionally, I felt a bit disappointed because the day before, we had bought a new fan, not knowing there was a store with used appliances around here. But in the end, it was better this way.

The store owner had the burners we needed, although they were not very cheap despite Luciana’s persistent efforts to negotiate a discount. We bought them, and when we got home, I eagerly started cleaning the stove, excited to use it since buying meals every day is not cheap😅.

The stove has been working well, at least three of the burners are operational, and that’s enough for us.

I have to go now; it’s time to make lunch. Sending you a hug with the smell of cooking rice, the joy of finding helpful people, and many beautiful reasons to be grateful.
