Our three boys are the best kittens.

Even I didn't expect to say that. 😹

You know how much I've complained about them so far.

Especially about Professor Shisho (the tiger above), who I was even afraid of before because he was a monster and unpredictable.

And because he had that particular crazy look that made it clear to me that anything could be expected of him. 😄

Assencho, the actor, knows how to harass me when he forgets that I fed him. He won't stop meowing at the window or the door, and he's starting to climb their webs, which, you know, and he knows very well too, threatens to tear them, for he's no longer the little kitten he was years ago.

I know, I know, he looks like the cutest and sweetest kitty here, but that's only because he's such a good actor.

And finally Blacky, the little garden panther, our biggest baby, who manipulates me to the highest degree, "picking my soul with cotton wool" as they say in my country. 😃 He is the ultimate manipulator. And I see I'm not his only victim as he shows up every day with a huge belly before I've fed him. The thought that he manages to manipulate other people into feeding him is somewhat comforting to me myself. 😎

However, recently I happened to come into contact with an adopted kitten, and this encounter made me realize some things and think.
The contact was quite strange and I might even say unpleasant.

First and foremost, I'm a cat lover as you can see from my posts and I think that comes across and feels live. However, when I meet a cat that doesn't understand this, that doesn't trust me and doesn't like me, that behaves aggressively and maliciously, it surprises me immensely. Mostly because I never expect such a reaction.

It was a relatively small female kitten that wouldn't let me pet her even once, and attacked my hand every time I tried to do so. She would attack even at the mere display of my hand. My attempts ended in constant hissing from her. And when I stalked her behind and tried to catch her, she screamed, tried to bite me, and ran away.

I did not understand this hostile behavior (I only understood that she was probably spoiled a lot by her owner 😅). But then I thought about our 3 boys who are the most loving cats in the world.

Professor Shisho has been through a lot this summer. I don't know how many cat lives he has left after going through several festering sores on his neck as well as hurting his front leg several times and having a serious wound on it. He also barely survived his castration last year. I don't know if he changed or if I changed my attitude towards him after I started carrying him in my arms this summer because he was limping because of the big wound on his leg, but he is the best kitty for me right now. The sweetest and loving kitten.

Actor Assencho is a cat of moods, as I already said. Sometimes he decides not to let me pet him. Other times he comes to me to sing and purr (I have already told you about his singing abilities). Yesterday was one such day where he let me pet him, carry him in my arms and kiss him while he purred. He never assaulted me. He never came at me with his claws and teeth. As none of his brothers did.

The Black baby can only manipulate me in the sweetest way. But at the same time he is a "respectful" kitty. All three have good manners and are brought up very well.

It took me having contact with one bad kitten to realize what good kids the three of them are.
It's the same with people, you know. Some parents complain about their kids, but then go visit friends and experience something creepy with their kids. I think, I hope, the same thing happened with my parents too. 😁 They may not be happy with who I am or was as a child, but they have friends whose children have become criminals, disappeared, or made all sorts of the most unusual life decisions. So, this has a calming effect on them.
And this now makes me love our 3 boys even more. Because they are the best kittens in the world 😻.
