RE: LeoThread 2024-11-13 03:36

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

I've been using AI chatbots like ChatGPT to learn new things and answer random questions. Now, there are premium versions with extra features, but I'm not sure everyone needs them. For simple tasks, the free versions are just fine. They handle basic questions and can help get you comfortable with AI.

But if you're using these chatbots heavily for work or specific needs, like coding, creative work, or productivity,
the paid plans might be worth it. Otherwise, free is often enough.

Do you pay for your Chatbots?

No. But I will be once LeoAI rolls out. It is effectively paid as it will be a part of Leo Premium.

Like you said, for most basic things, it is fine.

Oh so LeoAi will have no free version?

To try it you have to be premium?

I'm premium so no worries with that, but what about people who want to test out chatbot out?

There will likely be a trail period but it will be part of the premium package.

The idea is to keep building more value into Leo Premium.

Its a beautiful strategy if you ask me. I think the whole hive ecosystem should incorporate that in a way that makes sense.

Well, it would be a shame to not ask a fee for it. Especially after all the hard work that is put into it! It being a part of Premium membership is a good deal!

Agreed. It is a way to build a lot more value for premium.

We need to get as much Leo stuff into the database as possible. This can only enhance what we have going on.

It will surely give an upgrade to Premium membership and attract more accounts to become Premium

The most flexibility and lowest price is gained by creating an API key and loading it up with credits (any USD amount). That way you get all the premium benefits (++) and you only pay for what you use, when you use it. Instead of a fixed monthly fee.

LeoAI will be more than sufficient for most users though. But until that day, I'd go with the above option – if you have extra needs.

Yeah that's brilliant. I paid 5 bucks for Open AI API but couldn't use it cause I don't have much knowledge in API. I think I have to learn how to use it and make good use of my money.

that's a great start! I can help you get further with it if you want, it's not very difficult. Are you running windows or osx?

I would suggest that you install OpenWebUI. This is a self-hosted LLM interface where you can add your API key and add whichever models you want. See the screenshot below to see what it looks like.

To get there, you will need to do two things.

  1. Install Ubuntu WSL for Windows. More details in this thread:
    https://inleo.io/threads/view/mightpossibly/re-leothreads-2gs8iiuew?referral=mightpossibly

  2. Open your Ubuntu terminal and install OpenWebUI. Follow the installation instructions here: https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui?tab=readme-ov-file#how-to-install-

With this you will have your very own chatbot-environment where you have access to the top models WITHOUT a monthly subscription fee.
