5 Minute Freewrite/// Prompt: Ginger Tea

“Bring her to me!” Thomas said, angry and frustrated.

“She is in her room sulking, she doesn't want to come out, and she says she doesn't want to drink it!” Anna (Genevieve's bigger sister) said.

“Tell her, it's our damn tradition to drink that tea! She must drink it before 6 tonight on a full moon!” Thomas continued.

“Yes, father, I told her what you said what she doesn't seem to honor the tradition! She doesn't want the powers that come with drinking the ginger tea!

Thomas went upstairs to see what Genevieve is doing and urge her to come down and drink a ginger tea infused with magical powers. This was done so that the family powers get transferred to her and with it, she becomes the guardian for family's forbidden secrets.

"You are not an ordinary person, Genevieve! You are a member of an old family who is proud to be a part of magic enthusiasts dedicated to understanding the secrets of the universe!” Thomas said with a calm voice.

"Here, take it! Drink it, and all the information we gathered and understood is downloaded with speed into your brain!" Thomas continued.

Genevieve was a teenage girl who just had a crush on a boy, she didn't want to grow up too fast, she didn't want this! She didn't want the responsibility! She knew it sounded fancy, and her father didn't understand her.

“I don't want to take it!” Genevieve screamed.

“But you must! But you must!” her father insisted, “If you take it, I'll invite Ethan to get to know him better,” Thomas shouted.

Genevieve smiled and with the much insistence of her father, took a sip from the magical ginger tea and in a second she felt so much information getting downloaded to her brain.

“Sleep for now! I'll come check up on you in 3 hours!” Thomas said, glad he succeeded in convincing her daughter to take a sip of the magical tea.
