A flower that surprises me | Amazing nature of Medellín

Medellin is the capital of the Department of Antioquia in Colombia, a very important metropolis, a modern city, very developed, economically it is an ideal city for entrepreneurs but also for nature lovers although it may seem contradictory what I say. A prosperous, industrialized, commercial city like Medellin is also a place with a lot of vegetation where the ornamentation in its public spaces stands out and not in vain Medellin has the title of the City of the Eternal Spring.

With this post, which is the first I make in this community that has always caught my attention for being for true nature lovers, I am to join the contest of free theme presented by @bucipuci because I want to show you the #amazingnature with an amazing flower that abounds on the sidewalks of the streets and on the islands of the avenues.

Everywhere is and is the white lily or at least a kind of lily, but I wanted to dig a little and investigated finding a group of flowers of the genus called iris in reference to the rainbow, of the family Iridaceae resulting the most similar to my white flower that as you can see without doubt confirm me the amazing nature that surrounds us in Medellin and which I could capture with my iPhone for Hive.

Medellín es la capital del Departamento de Antioquia en Colombia, una metrópoli muy importante, una ciudad moderna, muy desarrollada, económicamente es una ciudad ideal para los emprendedores pero también para los amantes de la naturaleza aunque parezca contradictorio lo que digo. Una ciudad prospera, industrializada, comercial como Medellín es también un lugar con mucha vegetación donde el ornato en sus espacios públicos resalta y no en vano Medellín tiene el título de la Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera.

Con esta publicación, que es la primera que hago en esta comunidad que siempre me ha llamado la atención por ser para verdaderos amantes de la naturaleza, estoy para unirme al concurso de tema libre presentado por @bucipuci porque deseo mostrarles la #amazingnature con una flor sorprendente que abunda en las aceras de las calles y en las islas de las avenidas.

Por todas partes está y es el lirio blanco o al menos un especie de lirio, pero quise indagar un poco e investigué encontrando un grupo de flores del género llamado iris en referencia al arco iris, de la familia Iridaceae resultando las más parecidas a mi flor blanca que como podrán ver sin duda me confirman la naturaleza asombrosa que nos rodea en Medellín y la cual pude capturar con mi iPhone para Hive.

I am not an expert in flowers and I recognize that when I saw it I thought it was a type of orchid, excuse my ignorance but you must admit that the flower can confuse the uneducated in the matter, as I am. Among the information I read, I realized that these plants are more from the other part of the world and I imagine that it was brought at some time and adapted very well to this American land.

It is a very beautiful little flower, not very big with an exotic design that elegantly adorns the streets of Medellin. You can tell that it does not need much care as long as it is planted directly in the ground, receiving the sunlight and the rains that fall without warning in a very cool city, surrounded by mountains, which makes me think that it has the necessary conditions to look good in this Latin American city.

No soy un experto en flores y reconozco que al verlo creí que era un tipo de orquídea, disculpen mi ignorancia pero deben admitir que la flor puede confundir a los incultos en la materia, como lo soy yo. Entre la información que leí, me di cuenta que estas plantas son más de la otra parte del mundo y me imagino que fue traída en alguna época y se adaptó muy bien a esta tierra americana.

Es una florecilla muy bella, no muy grande con un diseño exótico que adorna con elegancia las calles de Medellín. Se nota que no necesita muchos cuidados mientras esté plantada directamente en el suelo, recibiendo la luz del sol y las lluvias que caen sin aviso en una ciudad muy fresca, rodeada de montañas, lo que me hace pensar que tiene las condiciones necesarias para lucir bien en esta ciudad de Latinoamérica.
