Hello everyone, today I will talk about Splinterlands and about the Fallen Specter card. I believe it is not a very common card to see on the battlefield because its rental price is sometimes high and it is not difficult to defeat, so having the Fallen Specter is almost a gamble, but is it worth having it in battles?

👻Stats and Abilities👻

First let's talk about your stats and see what your main use on the battlefield is.

The Fallen Specter is a legendary card from the Reward edition and belongs to the death deck (if you want to find it just filter by Reward - Legendary - Death Deck). Its attack type is magic and its mana cost is 2. For more visual details I'll leave an image below with its stats.

As you can see the Fallen Specter is the type of card that doesn't attract much attention when it comes to attack and health (tank). So you may be wondering how a card that looks so weak can be useful in battles. The answer to this is in its abilities that you can see in the image above, in total they are 4. Flying, Demoralize, Headwinds and Blind.

With these 4 abilities it becomes an almost perfect debuff card in battles because it will reduce physical attack, ranged and decrease the chances of your opponent's cards to hit the target. For you to understand better I will explain all its abilities.

👻Enable Flying (Level 1)👻

The Flying ability makes the Fallen Specter increase its chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by 25% on cards that don't have the Flying ability. As the Fallen Specter has a large amount of speed this will help it to be a very difficult card to hit, but as its health is extremely low (1) it becomes very easy to defeat as it only takes 1 attack for it to be defeated.

👻Enable Demoralize (Level 2)👻

The Demoralize ability is the first debuff of the Fallen Specter card, this ability causes all your opponent's melee cards to have their attack reduced by 1. So if an opponent's melee card has 3 attack it will only have 2 while the Fallen Specter is on the battlefield (the value is always reduced by 1 and the enable does not work if the card has 1 attack because it is not possible to have 0 attack in battles).

👻Enable Headwinds (Level 3)👻

The Headwinds ability is the second debuff of the Fallen Specter card, this ability causes all your opponent's ranged cards to have their attack reduced by 1. So if an opponent's ranged card has 3 attack it will only have 2 while the Fallen Specter is on the battlefield (the value is always reduced by 1 and the enable does not work if the card has 1 attack because it is not possible to have 0 attack in battles).

👻Enable Blind (Level 4)👻

The Blind ability is your last ability and it is also a debuff, this ability makes all opponent's cards have a +15% chance to miss the attack when they attack your cards. This is a great debuff to have in battles as making a card miss the attack can lead you to victory and even if 15% seems little it makes a big difference.

These are all Fallen Specter abilities, but to have them all on the battlefield you will need to use it at level 4 (max level) and play in diamond or champion league.

👻Advantages and Disadvantages👻

What are the main advantages of having the Fallen Specter in battle?

Its main advantages are its skills that will be excellent debuffs will help you a lot making your opponent's cards do less damage and have more chances to miss the attack. Possessing high speed will also make him one of the first cards to deal damage, even if his attack is not high it will be a good advantage in battle. Its last advantage is its low mana cost (2) so you can use it in pretty much every battle because it won't consume much of your available mana.

What are the main disadvantages of having the Fallen Specter in battle?

His main disadvantage is the amount of life that is very low (1), so even if he has the Flying ability and the Blind ability that will help you a lot to dodge attacks, your opponent will only need to hit 1 attack to defeat him. Its other weakness would be the Magic Reflect ability which returns part of the magic damage dealt, so if your opponent has such a card and Fallen Specter attacks this card, Fallen Specter will be defeated very easily.

👻Current Price👻

In terms of value, Fallen Specter is not an extremely high priced card (I'm not saying it's cheap), its current price to buy is $15 for 1 BCX (level 1) or $152 for 11 BCX (level 4).

In my opinion it's a very underrated card and it should have more value, I know its risks are high but in the right battle it makes a huge difference, mainly because it doesn't consume much of your mana. Let's take a look at his sales for the last 7 days using a chart provided by Peakmonster

In the last 7 days19 cards were sold Fallen Specter prices and its average price was $9.86. Although it seems like a low amount of sales it is still a good amount for an old legendary card. This chart shows that its current price is higher than it was 7 days ago (just an estimate), but I believe that if you are lucky or place a buy order, you may be able to buy it for an even lower price than $15 per BCX ( this is not an investment tip).
