Obsession [ENG-ESP]

We almost always associate the word "obsession" with something negative, which can harm us both physically and mentally, but I believe that there are also positive obsessions, which can drive you to achieve what you want.

It may not be the right word, but that's what came to my mind when I took this series of photos of a mountain I've wanted to climb for years. I can't get that thought out of my mind every time I see it, I imagine the route, how everything will look like from the top, etc., and that's why I consider this desire as an obsession 😄.

This mountain can be seen from my house, it is an everyday landscape for me, but in these images I show it from other places, I walked through several streets with the aim of capturing it in another way.

I am sure that the time will come when I will be able to climb it and say goodbye to this obsession.

Casi siempre asociamos la palabra “obsesión” a algo negativo, que nos puede perjudicar tanto física como mentalmente, pero creo que también existen obsesiones positivas, que te pueden impulsar a lograr lo que deseas.

Puede ser que no sea la palabra correcta, pero fue lo que me vino a la mente cuando hice esta serie de fotos de una montaña que hace años quiero subir. No puedo apartar ese pensamiento cada vez que la veo, me imagino el recorrido, cómo se verá todo desde la cima, etc., y por eso considero este deseo como una obsesión 😄.

Esta montaña se ve desde mi casa, es un paisaje cotidiano para mí, pero en estas imágenes la muestro desde otros lugares, caminé por varias calles con el objetivo de captarla de otra manera.

Estoy segura de que llegará el momento en que podré subirla y decirle adiós a esta obsesión.
