Alleys - Callejones | Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

I find them interesting because of how mysterious almost all of them look, some are very narrow, others a bit dark, but there are also the wider and brighter ones. Anyway, I think that alleys are a good subject to photograph, and this time I present you my first approach to them using a camera.

Me parecen interesantes por lo misteriosos que se ven casi todos, algunos son muy angostos, otros un poco oscuros, pero también existen los más amplios y luminosos. Como sea, creo que los callejones son un buen tema para fotografiar, y en esta ocasión les presento mi primer acercamiento a ellos usando una cámara.

All the shots were taken from the street, I didn’t enter any of them because my idea was to capture them with the eyes of someone just passing by and taking a quick curious glance.

Todas las tomas las hice desde la calle, no ingresé a ninguno de ellos porque mi idea era captarlos con los ojos de alguien que simplemente pasa por allí y echa un rápido vistazo curioso.

These alleys that I show are from residential areas without much architectural planning, and I suppose that most of them were formed as people were building their homes, in some they barely left space between the front of one house and another.

Estos callejones que muestro son de zonas residenciales sin mucha planificación arquitectónica, y supongo que la mayoría se fueron formando mientras las personas iban construyendo sus hogares, en algunos apenas dejaron espacio entre el frente de una casa y otra.

I got some with free transit and others with bars, where only those who live there can enter.

Conseguí unos de libre tránsito y otros con rejas, donde sólo pueden entrar los que viven allí.

And what do you find at the end of these alleys? Well, a variety of places. As far as my eyes could see, I observed vacant lots, the base of the mountain, another series of houses or another street that continued, there may be labyrinths out there, but that exploration would be part of another publication...

¿Y qué se encuentra al final de estos callejones? Pues, lugares variados. Hasta donde alcanzaba mi mirada observé que si terrenos baldíos, la base de la montaña, otra serie de casas u otra calle que continuaba, puede que haya laberintos por ahí, pero esa exploración ya formaría parte de otra publicación…
