A Cafe With An Art Gallery Atmosphere

A combination of art galleries and cafes that surprised me in the city center.

Art is difficult to understand for me but that doesn't mean it's difficult to enjoy. It feels good to be able to enjoy works of art even though I always don't understand the meaning of the work.

Like coffee, I'm also not a true coffee connoisseur but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it. Then, I came to an unexpected place on my journey. This time with my wife.

We intended only to stop for snacks and coffee to relieve our fatigue. We haven't been able to sleep. So we stopped at a coffee shop to discuss plans for tomorrow's trip.

We found MUSO ART CAFE near the hotel where we were staying. Good. I no longer need to drive my car to reach this coffee shop.

MUSO ART CAFE, BATAM CITY, INDONESIA

Glowing in the dark. One sentence that I think is suitable to start about this cafe. The area around this place already looks dark, while this cafe is shining. Especially because this cafe building is dominated by white.

The white color makes the MUSO ART CAFE building really attract attention from the street. The cafe's name logo also uses bright white lighting.

As soon as we enter the cafe, we will see many interesting color combinations on the cafe walls. What turned out to be works of art displayed on the restaurant walls.

INDOOR AREA

The indoor design at MUSO ART CAFE applies elegant minimalism. Like a simple work of art but containing beautiful meaning.

Their floors use as natural a motif as possible with natural stones. Gray, or brown. With different colors and motifs in each area to avoid boring designs.

Their tables use contemporary tables with granite on the top. Meanwhile, the table legs still use wood material to produce warm tones.

UNIQUE WORKS OF ART

Near the cafe's entrance, there is a striking piece of art. Got my attention. There are hanging stairs and white clouds too with beautiful lighting.

There is a description for the work of art, namely a stairways to place as abode of God. Place like a heaven. A beautiful work of art to start your journey at this cafe.

Next design, the cafe ceiling uses uniquely shaped lights with a strong representation of the beauty of art.

What's unique is that cafe visitors will feel like they are in an art gallery because the cafe walls are decorated with works of art. So, we can enjoy food and drinks while also enjoying the works of art near our table.

SEMI OUTDOOR AREA

Continue to the next area. I also chose the semi outdoor area. At the end of the semi-outdoor room there is also a stage for live music.

The most interesting thing about the design in the semi-outdoor area is the roof design which has an attractive shape. Unique arches.

They created a wet garden with a combination of open roofs. This makes air circulation and light good.

At the bottom of the open roof, a ledge is also formed for seating. With an arch shape that is similar to the shape of the roof arch. On the inside of the arch, the ground is planted with neat grass.

Meanwhile, on the edges, white natural rocks are arranged to add to the atmosphere in the garden.

Also added is a vertical fountain using pipe material. The fountain that falls vertically forms its own art with the combination of these materials.

On the other side, still in the open roof area, tall trees are planted which are aligned with a vertical fountain.

PAINTINGS ON THE WALL

In another space connected to the semi-outdoor room, there are many paintings displayed on the walls.

To make the area safe, a fully closed roof is made. To make the paintings clearer, additional lights were placed to create highlighted areas there.

PAINTING CLASS AVAILABLE

Another thing that really describes an art gallery is that there are painting classes in this cafe. At the other end, you can see someone painting.

Several times someone also announced that anyone could join the class directly. It's really an interesting activity and a must-try for young people who stop by the cafe.
