Hello, everyone, mates. I hope you are all well. Today I will tell you about a place and some stories that have been the subject of legends, songs and folk songs. Today's sharing topic will be the Ferhat and Shirin Lovers Museum in Amasya, which I had the opportunity to visit recently.

Ferhat and Shirin lovers museum is located about 7-8 km south of Amasya city centre. It is located on the slope of a very steep and completely rocky mountain. The garden outside the museum is very beautiful and I can almost call it the miniaturk of Amasya. Because in the garden, there are miniatures of many historical buildings in Amasya. You can see some of them in the images below. Since our subject is the Museum of Lovers, I will not dwell on these miniature artefacts.

Ferhat ile Şirin aşıklar müzesi Amasya şehir merkezinin yaklaşık 7-8 km güneyinde yer alır. Burası çok dik ve tamamen kayadan oluşmuş bir dağın yamacında bulunuyor. Müzenin dışındaki bahçe çok güzel ve adeta Amasya'nın miniatürk'ü diyebilirim. Çünkü bahçede, Amasya'da bulunan birçok tarihi yapının minyatürleri bulunuyor. Bunlardan bazılarını alttaki görsellerde görebilirsiniz. Konumuz Aşıklar Müzesi olduğu için bu minyatür eserler üzerinde durmayacağım.

There are also two tombs in the garden in honour of Ferhat and Shirin. According to the information written here, Ferhat was a famous painter. While decorating the mansion built by Sultan Mehmene Banu for her sister Şirin, he saw Şirin and they fell in love with each other. Ferhat sends news to the sultan and asks for Shirin. Sultan does not want to give his sister to Ferhat. In order to distract Ferhat, he stipulates that he must pierce the apple mountain and bring water to the city. Ferhat starts to pierce the mountains with the love of love.

Mehmene Banu sends her nanny to Ferhat, who is about to pierce the mountain and complete the water, and delivers the news that Şirin is dead. Ferhat throws the ashtray he holds in his hand into the air upon this painful news. The falling ashtray hits Ferhat's head and Ferhat dies. Receiving the painful news of Ferhat, Şirin comes to the rock where the incident took place with fear and excitement. When she sees that Ferhat is dead, she cannot bear the pain and dies by rolling from the rock. Both lovers are buried side by side on the rocks where they rolled.

They say that every spring two roses, one red and one white, grow on the two graves. When these two roses were about to meet each other, a blackthorn in the middle of the graves prevented them from meeting.

Ayrıca bahçede Ferhat ile Şirin anısına yapılan iki de mezar bulunuyor. Burada yazan bilgilere göre Ferhat meşhur bir nakkaştır. Sultan Mehmene Banu'nun kız kardeşi Şirin için yaptırdığı köşkün süslemelerini yaparken Şirin'i görür ve birbirine sevdalanırlar. Ferhat, sultana haber salarak Şirin'i istetir. Sultan ise kız kardeşini Ferhat'a vermek istemez. Ferhat'ı oyalamak için elma dağını delip şehre su getirmesini şart koşar. Ferhat, sevdanın verdiği aşkla dağları delmeye başlar.

Mehmene Banu, dağı delip suyu tamamlamak üzere olan Ferhat'ın yanına dadısını göndererek Şirin'in öldüğü haberini ulaştırır. Ferhat bu acı haber üzerine elinde tuttuğu külüngü havaya atar. Düşen külünk Ferhat'ın başına isabet eder ve Ferhat ölür. Ferhat'ın acı haberini alan Şirin, korku ve heyecanla olayın gerçekleştiği kayalığa gelir. Ferhat'ın öldüğünü görünce acıya dayanamaz ve kayalıktan yuvarlanarak can verir. Her iki sevgili yuvarlandıkları kayalıklarda yan yana gömülürler.

Derler ki; her bahar iki mezar üzerinde , biri kırmızı diğeri de beyaz iki tane gül bitermiş. Bu iki gül tam birbirlerine kavuşmak üzereyken mezarların ortasında biten bir karaçaltı bunların kavuşmasını engellermiş.

When we enter the museum, we are first greeted by the statues of Ferhat and Shirin, which also give the museum its name. The love story of Ferhat and Shirin is told here, but since I have already explained it above, I will just skip it with visuals.

Müzeye girdiğimizde ise bizi ilk önce müzeye de ismini veren Ferhat ile Şirin heykelleri karşılıyor. Burada Ferhat ile Şirin'in aşk hikayesi anlatılıyor fakat ben yukarıda bunu zaten anlattığım için sadece görsellerle geçiştiriyorum.

Then the museum continues with the miniatures of the Mansion Houses and King's Tombs, which are the symbols of Amasya.

When we go a little further, we come across the narration and sculptures of Aslı and Kerem, whose love story is also heard in our culture.
According to the information given, Aslı and Kerem loved each other very much. Their love story became so famous that it was travelling from tongue to tongue. One day Aslı and Kerem got married and during the wedding, a monk living in that neighbourhood cast a spell on Kerem. Kerem and Aslı, who were tired during the wedding, returned home. Kerem unbuttoned his shirt to take it off, but the buttons buttoned themselves again. Kerem was tired after trying this a few times and drew an "Ah!". Meanwhile, Kerem started to burn with the fire spreading from his mouth. This time Aslı gave water to Kerem, but the fire flared up even more with the water. In a few minutes Kerem was burnt to ashes and Aslı's hair was ignited from Kerem's ashes and Aslı was burnt to death.

Biraz daha ilerlediğimizde kültürümüzde de aşk hikayeleri dilden dile dolaşan Aslı ile Kerem anlatımı ve heykelleriyle karşılaşıyoruz.
Verilen bilgiye göre Aslı ile Kerem birbirlerini çok seviyorlarmış. Aşkları o kadar meşhur olmuş ki dilden dile dolaşıyormuş. Bir gün Aslı ile kerem evlenmiş ve düğün sırasında o civarlarda yaşayan bir keşiş, Kerem'e büyü yapmış. Düğün sırasında yorgun düşen Kerem ile Aslı evlerine dönmüşler. Kerem gömleğini çıkarmak için düğmelerini çözüyor fakat düğmeler sonra kendi kendine tekrar ilikleniyormuş. Kerem bunu birkaç defa denedikten sonra yorgun düşmüş ve bir "Ah!" çekmiş. Bu sırada kerem ağzından yayılan ateşle yanmaya başlamış. Bu sefer Aslı, Kerem'e su vermiş fakat suyla ateş daha da fazla alevleniyormuş. Birkaç dakika içinde Kerem Kül olmuş ve Kerem'in küllerinden Aslı'nın saçları tutuşmuş ve Aslı da yanarak can vermiş.

Leyla and Majnun
Majnun's real name is Kays. Kays falls in love with Leyla at an early age. This love is so strong that he starts to be called Majnun, which means "crazy". One day, Mecnun's grandfather takes him to Kaaba. Here he asks him to pray to get rid of Leyla's love. But Majnun prays for his love to increase even more. Now everyone and everything appears to him as Leila, and Mecnun turns from the love of Leila to divine love.

Leyla İle Mecnun
Mecnun'un asıl adı Kays'tır. Kays, küçük yaşlarda Leyla'ya aşık olur. Bu aşkı o kadar güçlüdür ki artık ona "deli" anlamına gelen Mecnun denilmeye başlar. Bir gün Mecnun'u dedesi Kabe'ye götürür. Burada Leyla'nın aşkından kurtulmak dua etmesini ister. Fakat Mecnun aşkının daha da artması için dua eder. Artık herkes ve her şey ona leyla olarak görünür ve Mecnun, Leyla'nın aşkından ilahi aşka yönelir.

In addition, not only the love stories in our culture, but also the famous love stories in the world are exhibited with sculptures in the museum. One of them is Romeo and Juliet.

Ayrıca müzede sadece kültürümüzdeki aşk hikayeleri değil, dünyadaki meşhur aşk hikayeleri de heykellerle sergilenmektedir. Bunlardan biri de Romeo ve Juliet.

In addition to these, examples of divine love are also exhibited in the museum. In this exhibition, a technique I have seen for the first time was used. Miniature paintings and sculptures were made in small keyholes. A very nice work has emerged.

Bunlarla birlikte Müzede ilahi aşk örnekleri de sergileniyor. Bu sergileme ise ilk defa gördüğüm bir teknik kullanılmış. Küçük anahtar delikleri içine minyatür resim ve heykeller yapılmış. Çok hoş bir çalışma ortaya çıkmış.
