The very large earthquakes in our country prompted me to prepare this content.

Since we were on semester break and did not go to work in the morning, I was going to bed late at night and waking up late in the morning. In fact, today I had planned to wake up late in the morning because the schools were closed in my province. But early in the morning I woke up to the sound of a message. The message was from my mother and it was a voice message. I called her and after talking for a while, she told me that there was an earthquake at night. I didn't care much at first, because our country was in an earthquake zone and there were always small earthquakes. I thought it was something normal.
After talking to my mum and hanging up the phone, I couldn't sleep anymore because I was sleepy and I looked at social media to see if there was anything about the earthquake. The images I saw on social media were incredible. It was officially a disaster. At first I couldn't believe it. I thought they were probably sharing images from previous earthquakes, but it was real. The earthquake had affected many cities such as Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Hatay, Adana, Diyarbakır.

I first sent a message to my acquaintances living in the earthquake zones. Actually, I wanted to call them, but I thought it would be more appropriate to send a message in order not to keep the lines busy. When I learnt that my friends were fine, I was relieved to some extent. But the wreckage caused by the earthquake was so big that many people were under the rubble. My city was very far from the earthquake zone. It was very difficult for me to go there and help. Instead, I thought about how I could help from here.
At noon I learnt that the municipality was preparing an aid truck and we were told that we could take the necessary materials to help. I immediately prepared a few parcels of the necessary materials and went to the municipality. I was very touched by the scene at the aid collection centre. Because almost everyone had brought something and they were sending it to the earthquake victims. This is an excellent thing for us to be in unity and solidarity as a country.

The night will be very cold and all our prayers are with the earthquake victims. I hope that the losses will be limited to this much and everyone in the rubble will be brought out safely.😔

Aslında bugün bir gezi içeriği oluşturmayı düşünüyordum. Fakat bugün
ülkemizde gerçekleşen çok büyük depremler beni bu içeriği hazırlamaya sevk etti.

Sömestr tatilinde olduğumuz ve sabah işe gitmediğimiz için geceleri geç yatıp sabahları ise geç uyanıyordum. Aslında bugün de bulunduğum ilde okulların tatil edilmesinden dolayı sabah geç uyanmayı planlamıştım. Fakat sabah erken saatlerde bir mesaj sesiyle uyandım. Mesaj annemdendi ve bir sesli mesajdı. Aradım ve biraz konuştuktan sonra gece deprem olduğunu söyledi. Başta pek önemsememiştim. Çünkü ülkemiz bir deprem kuşağındaydı ve sürekli ufak çapta depremler oluyordu. Normal bir şeydir diye düşündüm.
Annemle konuşup telefonu kapattıktan sonra uykum kaçtığından artık uyuyamadım ve depremle alakalı bir şey var mı diye sosyal medya baktım. Sosyal medyada gördüğüm görüntüler inanılmazdı. Resmen bir felaket olmuştu. İlk önce inanamadım. Herhalde önceki zamanda olan depremlerdeki görüntüler paylaşılıyor sandım. Ama gerçekti. Deprem Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Hatay, Adana, Diyarbakır gibi bir çok şehrimizi etkilemişti.

İlk önce deprem bölgelerinde yaşayan tanıdıklarıma mesaj attım. Aslında onları aramak istiyordum fakat hatları meşgul etmemek adına mesajın daha uygun olacağını düşündüm. Arkadaşlarımın iyi olduğunu öğrenince bir nebze olsun yüreğime su serpilmişti. Fakat depremin yarattığı enkaz o kadar büyüktü ve çok sayıda insan enkaz altındaydı. Bulunduğum şehir deprem bölgesine çok uzaktı. Oraya gidip yardım edebilmem çok zordu. Bunun yerine buradan nasıl yardım edebileceğimi düşündüm.
Öğlen saatlerinde belediyenin yardım tırı hazırladığını öğrendim. Yardım için gerekli malzemeleri götürebileceğimiz söyleniyordu. Hemen gerekli malzemelerden birkaç tane koli hazırladım ve belediyenin yolunu tuttum. Yardım toplanan yerdeki manzara beni çok duygulandırmıştı. Çünkü neredeyse herkes bir şeyler getirmiş, depremzedelere gönderiyorlardı. Bu ülkece birlik ve dayanışma içinde olmamız açısından mükemmel bir şey.

Gece çok soğuk olacak ve bizim bütün dualarımız depremzedelerle. İnşallah kayıplar bu kadarla sınırlı kalıp bundan sonra enkazda bulunan herkes sağ salim çıkarılır.😔
