Elden Ring, 24 hours played, still in the beginner area

I rerolled again (the bottom one is the new one, level 33)

This is probably the 5th or 6th character I have created.

I have tried many classes, and I think I have finally found the one that feels right - Samurai.

• Katana looks awesome and the move set is amazing, even on the horse back!
• Hope this is it to complete my first play through

When I first started, I rolled a Confessor (paladin). I liked the idea of a melee class that can self-heal. Turns out hybrid class is not for me. Damage output is bad, healing (the minor version) is mediocre at best and hard to pull off. Maybe just due to this being the first character, I spent more time respawning than actually playing the game #lol

Fine, hybrid didn't work out. How about let's go with a glass cannon - Astrologer (mage). It is fun downing enemies before they can even reach you.. but the mana pool in the beginning is a joke, no mana = death, getting surrounded by 2 or more mob = death. Either I am not playing this game right, or I failed to spend some time leveling up and look for better equipment.

Obviously I am not the best with movements, yet. Prophet (priest/battle mage)'s got good review, it's tankier and can self-heal for a decent amount. I also read the fire build is actual very strong it could make any boss fight a breeze. Well, I got to level 40 alright, it was very painful farming trolls over and over. Then the same issue, running out of mana! To make matters worse, I had to pick between healing myself, or using fire spells. There just not enough mana to bring the boss down!

Then finally today, I decided to give try Samurai, bleed build is supposed to be OP! It is working out so far. Maybe it's the class? Or maybe I know the game a bit better now after playing for 24 hours? It was a breeze. I did not need to use any potions while farming trolls!

We'll see what tomorrow brings, I will probably catch up to my previous progression and see new contents.
