P2E - The Future of Online Gaming

Greetings to the Hive Pizza community, it's an awesome day and I'm happy to be in this community to share some cool stuff with everyone.

For my very first blog post here I'll be talking about something really awesome both online and on the Hive Blockchain. We're talking about the future of gaming with Play-to-earn, P2E games.

In this super awesome world driven by technology, online gaming has really emerged as a global phenomenon, captivating millions of players worldwide.

It's really no longer just about passing time or having fun. It has become a super lucrative industry where the we see the perfect blend between fun and profit, gaming and money.

On the Hive Blockchain alone we have super awesome P2E games like Splinterlands, Terracore, Rising Star and Wrestling Organization Online, WOO.

The Main Question about gaming in our modern world is quite simple - Why settle for mere enjoyment when you can combine it with financial gain?

I shared in my previous blog posts about the rumors of GTA 6 being released with a Play-to-earn feature.

Imagine spending hours like we usually do playing GTA shooting down NPCs and stealing cars but only this time you're earning real life money from it.

This I believe is the next level of gaming. People kept speculating on how future games will look like and how Virtual and Augmented reality will change the game world, but the secret change that is really ahead of us is P2E gaming.

People will start to be concerned about value for time when we start having more awesome P2E games. The future of online gaming is all about maximizing both fun and money.

One of the most exciting developments in the game world is the integration of blockchain technology into gaming.

When you play a game like Splinterlands, Terracore or WOO on Hive, you feel the true value of mixing fun with rewards.

NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are also changing the way players interact with in-game asset. For example take a game like WOO; instead of having your wrestling characters as mere game icons that are used in fighting wrestling matches, you get them as NFTs that have literal value and can be sold for money.

The concept of NFT will basically make your game assets have real life monetary value.

The gamers can now truly own their virtual items, trade with them, and even earn a good income by selling rare collectibles.

There are rare collectibles in a game like WOO which includes championship belts and awesome game packs. These items can literally be sold on exchange platforms for other cryptocurrencies or cash.

The concept of P2E has totally transformed gaming into a potential source of income. This has totally made gaming more than just an activity for fun, to pass time or for leisure.

I'm just sitting back in my game chair imagining a life where I can make a full monthly income that can take care of bills from just P2E games. Wouldn't that be like the best job of all time.😂

Although I believe P2E gaming is the next level of gaming in the future, Virtual Reality and Augmented reality also hold huge prospects to transform the gaming industry.

Let's just imagine what can come out of merging P2E with Virtual Reality. Virtual Reality has a way of increasing the feeling and experience we have in a game. I believe with this concept, we'll enjoy games even more and still earn from the P2E feature.

Just imagine stepping into your favorite game world and earning money while doing so. This is no longer a distant dream but a tangible future.

You could have the Splinterlands card game characters feel super real and still earn the rewards.

P2E games merging with Blockchain technology will only help make Cryptoadoption work better. Since players will earn in cryptocurrency, it's going to be a very effective way to initiate more people into the world of cryptocurrency.

Also, since the rewards is in cryptocurrency, a wider audience can receive it. Some games make their in-game rewards exclusive for certain countries and leave out other countries because of the complexities in financial transactions within the excluded countries.

Using cryptocurrency will solve all of these problems and will include more players in the rewards pool.

To conclude my blog post, the future of online gaming is basically the merge between fun and money. The thought of what can come out of the merge between Blockchain technology, P2E feature, Virtual Reality and Augmented reality gets me really excited for the future.

Let's just wait and see how game developers spin this one to build new futuristic games.
