The formal education teaches you how to better your exposure, communication skill and human relationship. How? What I'm saying is that the only good formal education can do for most people are just what I listed up there. The importance and relevance of your existence after the education is your VALUE.

We have thousands of graduates in the labour market without any value. Like there is practically no value to offer, other than just collecting from people. This usually result in insult most times when the giver decline about three consecutive times.

I hope by now, we all should know MONEY flows in exchange for VALUE. How do I mean?People irresistibly pay for value, in as much as it fixes their problems, regardless of what it will cost them.

Unarguably, values can be added to people's life via three ways;

  1. Meeting needs
  2. Solving problems
  3. Answering questions

You can meet people's need and solve their problem(s) by adding values to their lives. A typical example of that is someone who install solar for people in exchange for money. He is meeting people's need especially those with inconsistent power supply. And in the process, he has solved the problem of electricity.

With those three ways, I bet most people will never thought of going to tertiary institutions. I honestly do not think there is need for tertiary education in all cases, if you have a good communication skills as an O'level holder.

Why am I saying this? Formal education never thought us how to offer value outside education, it is restricted to the syllabus of the courses we offer.

Note: This is not me saying education isn't needed but, having a degree seems more of time wasting in recent time because it adds little or no VALUE to most people.
Like I said earlier, having a value to offer is the only thing that can complement your formal education. You must be a value creator.

Take for example, you have a temporal life-reviving skill that enables you to bring people backdrop alive for at least two weeks, do you know the number of people out there looking for the opportunity to at least have a moment conversation with their lost ones?

People will look out for you, not for an official offer but for the skill you have that can enable them to get what they want - you solving their problem with your skill. Do you learn that in formal education? NO!!!

Let me say this, people are no longer employing for ACTIVITIES, they employ for PRODUCTIVITY.

If you're not offering value, you're as useless as the certificate you got. Let the school you're going match the purpose you're eyeing. The atmosphere we grew from has manipulated our sensitivity that we feel tertiary institution is a must go.

But remember to Solve problems, Meet needs, offer solutions.
