📷 Drawings for kids: seascape

Have a nice day! Today I will show you my new pictures for kids, which I make at the request of my friend...

To be honest, all the children and even some parents liked this landscape! Yes, and I liked it myself :-) What is called the picture was a success.

And it all started almost corny. I took acrylic paints, plywood and started drawing a new picture.

Kids have been asking for the sea for a long time. True, they wanted turtles and dolphins to swim in the water, but I'm not friends with animals yet. It's still difficult for me to draw a floating turtle. I think that no one will recognize her... Or it will look like a cuttlefish :-)

This time I chose low mountains. But I made the sky not so bright as usual... And for the mountains, I mixed burnt umber, burnt sienna and a little white. And a little cadmium red.

Surrounded by mountains, I showed some sandy soil and vegetation... This time I even liked my stones. They looked very authentic, almost like real ones. Do you agree with me?

And I got interesting mountains with pronounced reliefs. After all, talent is not so necessary if you have daily practice and perseverance in achieving your goals. Is that right?

Then I painted a sailboat and seagulls, then I worked on the details, made the foam more voluminous and placed several boulders washed by sea water near the shore.

Of course, the palm trees made the drawing just amazing. These are not my words, believe me, I'm not used to flunking myself. So said the parents of the boy who received this picture.

This time we conducted a quiz game on the knowledge of marine life. The kids took turns naming the sea inhabitants, and whoever knew more than others got the prize!

Of course it wasn't easy, but now children have the Internet and they are more knowledgeable than we were at their age.

Vasily, that was the boy's name, named as many as 11 fish. To be honest, I would not have named some of them so quickly myself. And I didn't know one at all before ...
I was especially struck by its name Macropinna microstoma or simply barrel-eyed :-)

About 45 years ago, children were completely different than today's kids. They would have told me then that at the age of 5 a boy would know such a thing , I would never have believed it :-)

What do you think I came home and began to study everything about this strange fish new to me.

It turns out that any attempts by scientists to get the barrel eye out of the water ended in collapse – the fish's head simply burst upon contact with air.

However, thanks to deep-sea apparatuses, it was still possible to draw some conclusions about the features of this fish.

Barrel eyes are very sedentary and can "freeze" in one place for a long time. Their eyes are located inside the head and allow you to see everything that is above the fish, even when it is swimming horizontally. This unusual eye structure does her a huge favor when hunting. And I also learned a lot of interesting information about her while communicating with this young lover of marine life.

But in the end, he got this picture by right :-)
