Exploring the Enchanting Village of Sticciano

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, and I hope you went on great adventures and discovered beautiful places to share here in the community. This time, I didn't hold back, and I went exploring other parts of Tuscany. Actually, the place I'm sharing today, I had already visited a while ago, but I hadn't had the chance to explore it thoroughly. As I always say, every time you explore a place, you always see new and interesting things. Yesterday was a beautiful day, and the temperature was really pleasant.

What you see in the photos is Sticciano, a beautiful hamlet in the municipality of Roccastrada, located about 10 km from this town, in the province of Grosseto.

This small village has about 700 inhabitants. It is also at risk of depopulation, and the road to get there is not very easy, but when you arrive at this height, you get a beautiful green panorama of the entire surrounding mountainous area. As you can see from the first photos, the climbs to be done on foot are very challenging, they put you to the test, but naturally, my curiosity pushed me to explore every corner of this place, discovering beautiful enchanted views like Piazza Marconi, where even the locals make these places even more beautiful by adorning them with lovely flowers.

I was also able to admire the Romanesque-style Church of the Holy Conception, a church that looks very beautiful from the outside. But as usual, it was closed. I tried asking a gentleman who was nearby, and he told me that it is only opened on certain occasions, as often happens in these villages.

Continuing my walk, I also came across a group of bikers who had this beautiful village as their destination. Let's say that doing the route by motorcycle allows you to admire the beautiful panorama, and maybe the track is much more suitable for motorcycles as the path is quite narrow.

In this place, as in others I have visited, there are many cats, which I love very much. They roam freely in this place, and when they see you, they come in your direction because they want some affection from you.

I continued to explore the alleys of this place, and I let myself get drunk on the scents of the flowers, which bloomed in every corner of this beautiful village. I think this is always the best touch that people can create in these places.

My feeling when I come to these places is always of a slower life, where you can perceive everything that nature offers us, but above all, admire everything.

I hope the photos I shared were to your liking and conveyed the sense of peace and well-being I felt exploring this place, but these things must be seen in person because it is really difficult to convey them in words.
