Street Art for Wednesday Walk

In our town, there are a few pieces of street art, like this one here.

To this day, it is one of the largest crop producers in the state of California. The town is surrounded by farmland. Sunflowers, grapes, and tomatoes (depicted in street art) are some of the products of this town. In fact, we are one of the top 5 California counties that produce tomatoes.

Further down Main Street is a mural that covers the whole side of the building.

It shows a typical Farmer's Market scene. Behind, and as far as the eyes can see, are farmlands and people carrying produce.

There is an elderly lady selling sunflowers. Another man is selling peaches, and others are carrying apples (or tomatoes) and grapes.

A woman handing (or receiving) a girl to or from a man on a tractor. There are many stories that we can invent about this scene, hehehe!

During farmer's market day, there are volunteers providing health care, usually to the migrant workers families.

The nearby hospital or non-profit organization usually sends a team of volunteer doctors to provide free care for sick and injured children.

Here is the entire mural, taken from afar. Neat, huh!

How beautiful this mural, I love everything related to street art so every time I get one I post it on my blog. And this one has something that I also love a field of sunflowers worthy of being admired, what a beauty. It also highlights the crops that as you say are typical in your region. The murals are absolutely lovely. You need to see my mind working in every fiction writer's craze Trying to think of possible stories to each of those murals. And I had quite a lot of fun doing that too.🌺

It takes a lot of effort to make such things, it takes a lot of time and the colors are done very well which makes all the art that it is look very beautiful.

I really miss roadside stands selling tomatoes...... For some reason the Pacific Northwest just does not grow tomatoes!
Back in Cincinnati you could buy them by the bushel everywhere, or simply grow them yourself!😀

I love murals like these because as you stand in front of them and take in all the details, it's almost like you enter into them and are part of the scene as well.
