I feel empowered and more secure because I am familiar with some basic self-defense methods. An individual must learn to be safe and know how to defend him/herself and identify potential threats. Even though prevention and de-escalation should always come first, learning some fundamental self-defense techniques can provide you a lot of peace of mind.

Ability to Think Critically

We need information analysis, skepticism of presumptions, and logical reasoning which are all components of critical thinking. Individuals who develop this talent are better able to weigh arguments, make sound decisions, and successfully handle challenging circumstances.
