Bonus Coins!

avatar

I ordered two silver bars and one silver round, and I received these coins as extra for being a repeat customer. If you need silver and you live in the U.S., try asking him if he has some to sell you. I bought my coins using HBDs.

Thank you for the wonderful bonus coin @stokjockey !

People refer to them as being elongated, smashed, flattened, or squashed. These are made of pennies and were pressed using a machine. When you insert a penny into one of the machines, it will be compressed into an elongated coin with the location you found the cent embossed on it. These machines can be found all throughout the United States if you gather pennies. Using these devices typically costs 50 cents to a dollar per coin.

These pennies were made in a Las Vegas Penny Press. It reads:

My parents went to
Las Vegas Pinball Hall Of Fame
and all they got was this
lousy penny.

This next one is precious, and it is 16 mm in diameter, the size of a 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle. It is a token for a trolley ride.

It is from Key System Oakland. It is really old, dated 1947. Wow! A piece of history!!!

The 1998 Uncirculated Coin Set

As old as money itself, coin collecting is thought to have a long history. Prior to the establishment of a national mint, "currency" included wampum, livestock, crops, and colonial and foreign money.

Two sets. The blue one is from the Philadelphia Mint. The original Philadelphia Mint was the country's sole minting facility for 45 years. The red one is from the Denver Mint.

The two 1998 Washington Quarter Dollars in this collection was the last time the reverse of the coin featured the heraldic eagle.

I like the Las Vegas ones a lot, @silversaver888! Paying them with HBD is a great method because= no vat/tax and you invest back in someone from the community. You're a true collector and I respect that, Madam! Thanks for sharing this with us!

I don't know how he computed the total sales price. I chose the pieces, and he priced them, hehehe!
I paid over 100 HBD for three pieces. But he sent me all these bonus items!!! I'm so grateful to @stokjockey!

Hahaha, even before, we have felt that pennies are something we can waste!
That reminds me, I have to bring my loose change to the bank!
Have a pleasant day, @silvertop! I'm getting these responses in before heading for work. So much to do!!!!

The coins world is an entire rabbits hole, I have been thinking to diversify some gains into gold and silver for next year, also been thinking if it would be better to put it on watches or coins but both are complicated and extensive worlds, probably may stick with portion of gold and silver, boomer rocks 😁, thx for sharing ✌️

Very nice! I have some smashed pennies from the train museum at Snoqualmie. They are quite unique! I think they cost 50 cents there. I put them up and don't have them readily handy, but of course, they have trains on them. Smashed pennies are very cool!

I like the new quarters with the states on them; makes it interesting for people to collect all that's in the collection, plus the map/coin holder can teach kids about the geographic location of our states and city information as well.

I do however, really prefer the currency from the 60's most. It has this regal look, especially the bills as opposed to today's 'funny money' look. Ah, the good ol' days!

Thanks for sharing sis. Love ya much!🤗😘💞🌸 !LADY
