Beer on Market Friday!

My friends and I went to a brewery.

A small group of friends with a passion for brewing exceptional beer that rivaled that available from their preferred commercial breweries founded Fort Rock in a garage in Folsom, California, around 2013.

Later in 2017, Fort Rock's "Folsom Dam Good Pilsner" earned the company its first Gold Medal at the CA State Fair beer competition. Soon after, they started supplying local taverns and eateries in the broader Sacramento area with their beer.

Today, Fort Rock continues to run its popular taproom in Rancho Cordova and sell beer to well over 400 different customers throughout Northern California, including top supermarkets, significant retail chains, bottle shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Fort Rock Brewing Company crafts a diverse range of ales and lagers, from Pilsners to Porters. When you look at what goes into manufacturing their brews, you can also read on about the narrative behind each label.

They also prefer to relate the names of their beers to occasions, movies, or other entertaining incidents from society.

Producing just great beer devoid of all gimmicks, insane adjuncts, or passing trends ...

You can have their American Pale Ale to go... or West Coast IPA, or....

For their seasonal releases, they do limited brew runs. Some are brewed every year at the same time, and others... not so much.

I like it brewed simple, with a perfect balance of malt and hops. Crushables and drinkable... anytime, anywhere!

Very cool. I’ve done several brewery tours, they are awesome. Molson, Labatts, Carlsburgh, Yuengling, Samuel Adam, Iron City and some small ones as well.

I don't like beer either! But when I was in college, as part of our initiations, we drank lots of beer!!! Maybe that is the reason I don't like it! One glass is more than enough for me!

What a great story! Great things have evolved over a group of people and garages! Great breweries! What a nice way to spend some time, checking out the brew! Thanks for sharing their story with us... what is the best brew you have had so far?

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
