Another Mermaid: Ariel!
For those who know me well enough, I have a fondness for mermaids.
I have mermaids in silver:

And now,
I have another mermaid... in a stamp!

The following is taken from the accompanying literature.
Ariel and Founder, who are featured on this U.S. stamp, are characters in the Walt Disney animated film, "The Little Mermaid." Ariel is the mermaid, while Flounder is one of her undersea friends."The Little Mermad" is based on a classic fairy tale written in 1836 by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. In Disney's movie, Ariel is a young mermaind who is the daughter of King Triton. She has a beautiful voice ad wishes to live in the human world. With the help of an evil sea witch, Ursula, she exchanges her voice for legs. Despite the witch's tricks, she and Prince Eric fall in love and together they stop Ursula's plans to take over King Triton's kingdom.Hans Christian Andersen was one of the greatest storytellers of all time, and "The Little Mermaid" is one his most famous stories. A bronze statue of the "The Little Mermaid" by sculptor Edvard Eriksen has been a highlight of the harbor in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, since it was dedicated in 1913. the statue is one od Denmark's best-known national symbols.
