Today, I want to show you a coin that is very popular because it traditionally sells very close to bullion market prices, which are centered around an average price for silver. This average bullion price, which is known to most of #silvergoldstackers as spot price.
The Australian Silver Kangaroo started their bullion coin series in 2015. This was struck at the Perth Mint, which was founded as a branch of the Royal Mint in London.
Since I started stacking at about that time, I have all the Date Set of this bullion coin.
For those who may not know, a Date Set is a collection of identical coins that includes specimens from each minting date for that type of coin.
2024 Australian Silver Kangaroo
On the reverse of the Silver Kangaroo Coin is the red kangaroo with a ring of the rays of sunlight. On the edge of the coin are the words “AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO” and “2024 1oz 9999 SILVER”.
Stuart Devlin's iconic leaping kangaroo on an Australian copper coin inspired the design on the reverse of the coin.
Coin Highlights:
- 9th coin in the Australian Silver Kangaroo Series.
- Debut of King Charles III in this series.
- Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition.
- Issued a face value of $1 (AUD) by Australia.
- Obverse features His Majesty King Charles III.
- Reverse includes a leaping kangaroo against stylized sun rays in the background.
- Micro-laser engraved security letter on the reverse.
