The Morgan Dollar was replaced with the Peace Dollar in December 1921, signifying peace between the United States and Germany, after Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon approved its design. The Peace Dollar, created by eminent Italian American sculptor Anthony de Francisci (1887–1964), represented the nation's emergence as a major world power while honoring the sacrifices made by its people during World War I and celebrating triumph and peace.

The Peace Dollar, which was reintroduced in 2021, has a stunning uncirculated finish.

The profile of Liberty is seen on the obverse (heads side), and she is wearing a brilliant crown. "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of issuance are inscribed on the reverse. A resting eagle holding an olive branch is shown on the reverse (tails) above the word "PEACE."

The Peace Silver Dollar is the final silver coin for general circulation produced by the United States Mint and the federal government. Coins were first released as a celebration of world peace following World War I and were minted at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints from 1921 to 1928 and from 1934 to 1935.

The Peace Dollar coin came with a Certificate of Authenticity. The coin is encapsulated and presented inside a black box from the United States Mint. Like all coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint, there is no mint mark that appears on the coin.

What a cool coin! I have always loved the Peace dollar and I love these new issues. They do lack the age of the originals but the 99.9% makes up for it!

It seems that the US Mint will definitely be producing these coins. The first one released in 2021 was a commemorative for the 100th anniversary of the Peace Dollar. This is the second release!

This will be your third coin since this program started in 2021 going after the whole set as long as it keeps going from here on in. Beautiful coin series to shoot for. I have an BU 1923 Peace dollar tucked away.

Unfortunately, the US Mint did not release a 2022 Peace dollar, or a Morgan Dollar. This will be the second release after it was reintroduced in 2021. But I do not know if this will be a yearly thing, though.

I am shooting for the Morgan & Peace Dollar 2023 Two-Coin Reverse Proof set coming out in the fall.
The US Mint has always been minting platinum coins, but this year they aren't. I wanted to get one. Weird!!!

It is priced no differently for the American Silver Eagles. It seems that they won't be releasing a business strike, so it may not be available for dealers at reduced prices.

I know what you mean! And it is tough. For myself too, although I have set aside a certain % of my savings for precious metals, I am always ready and may have to delay a silver or gold purchase for an absolute necessity.
