The Royal Mint's first series of Myths and Legends coins, which were released in 2021, contained three images of the folk heroes from the Robin Hood legend.


The Myths and Legends Series is returning with a new release from The Royal Mint. The next three-coin set, which focuses on the legendary King Arthur, goes even further back in British history.

2023 British Silver King Arthur Coin 1 oz (BU)


Coin Highlights:

1st design in the next Myths and Legends Series.

Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition.

Issued a face value of 2 Pound sterling (GBP) by Britain.

Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

King Arthur on the reverse.

The 2023 British Silver King Arthur Coin features a King Arthur image on the reverse. Excalibur, the fabled sword that served as the source of King Arthur's strength, is represented here being wielded by the illustrious Celtic British monarch while wearing his crown and cloak.


These are the three representations of the folk heroes from the Robin Hood legend appeared on the first series of Myths and Legends coins from the Royal Mint 2021:

Robin Hood and
Maid Marian and
Little John.


The subsequent three-coin series collection focuses on the fabled King Arthur. The first design in the series is the legendary monarch of Celtic Britain, while the remaining two will show Camelot's members.

I can't exactly remember the last movie I saw. I recall it just showing King Arthur dropping by a blacksmith's shop. Hahaha, I may be mistaken.

The Britannia, The Queen's Beast... I heard their Lunar coins are good. But I never bought them.
I think I will just stick with the two mentioned and their Gold Sovereign. I was not impressed by the first Myths and Legend coins above. But it is just there to be sold one of these days.
