Saver made me do it….

Afternoon everyone…..

Since @silversaver888 keeps posting Mexican Un Peso coins. I thought I’d join in with my own.

I’m a big fan of world coins, but only the old vintage stuff. I have coins from over 120 countries, some that don’t even exist anymore.

I collect these coins in the best condition I can find and afford them in. I prefer mint state examples, but that’s not always possible due to price.

The coin I’m going to share today is a Mexican Un Peso. It’s from 1944 which is the second to last year they were minted. The designs on Mexican old coinage is very unique and the designs are fantastic.

This is an NGC grade MS64. I had thought I’d taken two pictures obverse and reverse, but I guess I was wrong.

Here is some info on the coin from Numista…

Awww... that is outstanding!!!
The Un Peso are relatively inexpensive, maybe because of the silver content. But I do like the design of the reverse.
I gained appreciation of Mexican coins through your post, @silverd510. And I want to thank you for the inspiration and motivation!
