Legendary Warriors series….
Afternoon everyone….
Continuing with my recent package in the mail. Today if one from a very cool series from the Silvertowne Mint. It’s their Legendary Warriors series.
I’m pretty late on this one considering that another round in this series has already been released and is also in this package. To be shown in a later post….
Here is some info on the round….
As the sixth release in the exclusive Warriors Series this silver round features Geronimo. The first in the series is Eric Bloodaxe, the second being Julius Caesar, the third being Achilles, the fourth being Alexander The Great and the fifth being Genghis Khan. This round commemorates Geronimo, who was a prominent leader of the Bedonkohe Apache tribe, born in June 1829 in what is now modern-day Arizona. His birth name was Goyaałé, which means "one who yawns." He became one of the most renowned Native American leaders of his time, known for his resistance against Mexican and American expansion into Apache tribal lands.
In the mid-19th century, tensions between Native American tribes and European settlers escalated as settlers encroached upon Apache territory. Geronimo's tribe, the Bedonkohe, faced increasing pressure and violence from both Mexican and American forces. Geronimo himself experienced personal tragedies, including the murder of his mother, wife, and children by Mexican soldiers. In 1886, after years of pursuit, Geronimo finally surrendered to US forces. His surrender marked the end of the Apache Wars and the final resistance of the Apache tribes against American expansion. Geronimo and his band were exiled to a prisoner of war camp in Florida, and later transferred to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After his surrender, Geronimo became something of a celebrity, appearing at fairs and exhibitions across the United States. He also became a symbol of Native American resistance and resilience, admired by both Native and non-Native people alike. He continued to live out his life as a POW and resisted and fought for the rights of his people. He later died in February 17,1909 at Fort Still, Oklahoma. He remains to this day a Warrior.
6th in Series: Geronimo 1oz .999 Silver
The obverse features Geronimo across the creek from one of their Tribes camp sitting at top a rock in front of his horse. He is seen holding a full length military rifle. Many teepees can be seen behind him as well as some mountains and some wildlife. The reverse then features the common design that will be used throughout the series which depicts an array of historic weaponry that represents each of the warriors to come in this Legendary Warriors Series. The words "LEGENDARY WARRIORS" and "1. OZ 999 FINE SILVER" are curved around the top and bottom of the design.
Now the round…..
I like this series a lot, the detail on these rounds is fantastic and they are all selling on the secondary market pretty well.

Love it! Nuff said.
Sending Love and Ecency Vote!
Thank you
Caught between two opposing forces, Geronimo seems more of a freedom fighter than just a warrior.

Pretty bad ass coin. I like the detail work it's one of the more graphic dense coins I've seen in a bit.
It’s a great series.
