Geiger in the house…..

A little over a week ago, I did a post about a new product being produced by one of my favorite modern day mints.

It’s a cast poured 500 gram bar from the Geiger Edelmetalle Mint in Germany. This is their very first cast poured bar ever. So I was pretty excited to get one.

I checked a bunch of dealers that I buy from. None of them had them for sale. The only ones that had it were Apmex, JM Bullion, Provident Metals, and Silver.com. I’m not a big fan of Apmex at all, is a matter of fact my named for them is Rapex. JM Bullion and Provident Metals used to be two of my favorite dealers. But since they were bought out by A-Mark Metals they suck now and so do their prices.

So I thought that I was out of luck. The premiums those dealers had on this bar were ridiculous. They had an over $7 an ounce premium.

A little later in the day, I had gotten an e-mail from Bold Precious Metals. The light bulb went off…. I hadn’t checked them earlier, I know that they carry Geiger products.

YES….

They had it in stock. Not only that but the premium was about half of what the other dealers were asking.

It finally arrived yesterday. You know the deal, the echeck has to clear for five days….yadda, yadda, yadda…

Well here is the first ever cast poured bar from Geiger. Not only that if you check out the serial number it’s number 68. Now that’s one of the first batches. NICE….
