REDESCUBRIENDO MIS TALENTOS [ESP-ENG]

Recuerdo que cuando era muy niña me gustaba coleccionar las paletas de helado, era una excusa perfecta para poder comer unas cuantas durante la semana y como éramos varias hermanas a la final siempre lograba obtener una cantidad considerable.
Un día sentí la inquietud de realizar alguna manualidad con ellas y comencé haciendo un cofre con paletas de helado, pronto fui perfeccionando la técnica y le hice uno a mi mami para que guardara allí sus prendas u objetos pequeños. Con el tiempo esta pasión fue quedando en el olvido hasta hace un par de meses que mi hija debía presentar su proyecto escolar final.
Este proyecto me supo sacar canas verdes de manera literal, no sabía que manualidad podía enseñar a mi hija y fue allí donde nuevamente retome mi pasión olvidada. Llegue a un súper mercado y allí estaba un paquete de paletas solo a la espera de que decidiera trabajar con ella y me dije ha pasado algún tiempo desde la última vez que hice algo con ellas, pero puedo volver a intentarlo.
Esta vez no me quise hacer un cofre así que comencé por hacer un portalápices y un porta retrato para que mi hija se lo regalara a su maestra que estaba de cumpleaños junto a una foto con todo el grupo que ella atendía, la maestra quedo fascinada con el resultado obtenido, en esta oportunidad tenía una gran ayudante mi hija iba pintando las paletas y yo me encargaba de irlas pegando con ayuda del silicón.
Mi hija también empezó a mostrar sus intereses por este arte y realizo junto a mi algunos adornos para la pared, uno de esos se lo obsequio a mi hermana para su cumpleaños y también la hizo muy feliz, el otro lo tenemos aquí en casa para darle vida a una de nuestras paredes.
Es importante resaltar que para realizar estos detalles no necesitas contar con muchos recursos, primeramente las paletas, las cuales son muy económicas, un espejo que lo podemos obtener de nuestro polvo compacto, silicón, unos palitos de altura, pincel y pintura de tu preferencia, esta es opcional. Voy a explicar brevemente el paso a paso para realizar esta decoración, use un vaso para extraer un circulo de cartón que sería la base para la estructura, esta debe ser solo un poco más grande que el espejo que vas a usar, a esta le hice unas cuantas líneas a manera de dividir el circulo en 8 partes iguales.
Una vez el círculo listo procedí a pegar con ayuda del silicón las ocho paleta solo por un extremo y luego fui pegando en cada una de ellas otra paleta más en el extremo que estaba libre hasta formar una especie de rombo con ellas.
Una vez lista la primera línea admire lo hermosa que se veía, pero me dije es igual a la anterior, por lo tanto debo proyectar mi pasión un poco más profunda y por lo tanto decidí hacer 8 rombo individuales para luego pegar estos a la estructura anterior.
Hasta aquí van 64 paletas de helado y la estructura es tamaño mediano, decidí darle un toque colocándole palitos de altura por el medio de cada rombo, que eran un total de 16 y una vez listo decidí agregarle un poco de color para que resalte entre el color blanco de la pared.
Esto si me resulto algo tedioso el pintar la estructura y cada una de sus ranuras, les recomiendo antes de atreverse a hacerla primero pinten las paletas para avanzar en el tiempo y no sea tan agotador.
Una vez pegado todo solo me quedaba agregarle el espejo, para culminar satisfactoriamente mi adorno, no puedo dejar de lado la satisfacción que tengo al retomar estas actividades que tanto me apasionaron desde niña y de esta manera reflejar en mi hija un nuevo talento con el cual podemos transformar una material primario en cosas tan bonitas como estas.
Son tantas las manualidades que podemos hacer con cartón y otro tipo de material de rehusó que de manera indirecta podemos aportar una mano ayuda al cuidado del planeta, disminuyendo las cantidades y por lo tanto creando bonitos recursos.

I remember that when I was a little girl I liked to collect popsicle sticks, it was a perfect excuse to eat a few during the week and as we were several sisters I always managed to get a considerable amount in the end.
One day I felt the urge to make a craft with them and I started making a chest with popsicle sticks, soon I was perfecting the technique and I made one for my mummy to keep her clothes or small objects there. Over time this passion was forgotten until a couple of months ago when my daughter had to present her final school project.
This project literally brought out the grey hairs in me, I didn't know what craft I could teach my daughter and it was there where I took up again my forgotten passion. I arrived at a super market and there was a pack of popsicles just waiting for me to decide to work with her and I said to myself it's been a while since I last did something with them, but I can try again.
This time I didn't want to make a chest so I started by making a pencil holder and a portrait holder for my daughter to give it to her teacher who was having her birthday together with a photo with the whole group that she attended, the teacher was fascinated with the result obtained, this time I had a great assistant, my daughter was painting the lollipops and I was in charge of sticking them with the help of the silicone.
My daughter also started to show her interest in this art and together with me she made some wall decorations, one of them she gave it to my sister for her birthday and it also made her very happy, the other one we have here at home to give life to one of our walls.
It is important to emphasize that to make these details you don't need many resources, first of all the pallets, which are very cheap, a mirror that we can get from our compact powder, silicone, a few sticks, brush and paint of your choice, this is optional.
I will explain briefly the step by step to make this decoration, I used a glass to extract a cardboard circle that would be the base for the structure, this should be only a little bigger than the mirror that you are going to use, I made a few lines to divide the circle in 8 equal parts.
Once the circle was ready I proceeded to glue with the help of the silicone the eight pallets only at one end and then I glued on each one of them another pallet at the end that was free until I formed a kind of rhombus with them.
Once the first line was ready I admired how beautiful it looked, but I said to myself it is the same as the previous one, therefore I must project my passion a little deeper and therefore I decided to make 8 individual rhombuses and then glue them to the previous structure.
So far there are 64 popsicle sticks and the structure is medium sized, I decided to give it a touch by placing some tall sticks in the middle of each rhombus, which were a total of 16 and once ready I decided to add a little colour to make it stand out from the white colour of the wall.
I found it a bit tedious to paint the structure and each one of its slots, I recommend you to paint the pallets first before you dare to do it, so that you can advance in time and it won't be so tiring.
Once everything was glued I only had to add the mirror, to finish my ornament satisfactorily, I can not leave aside the satisfaction I have to resume these activities that I was so passionate about since I was a child and in this way reflect in my daughter a new talent with which we can transform a primary material into things as beautiful as these.
There are so many crafts that we can make with cardboard and other types of reusable material that we can indirectly contribute a helping hand to the care of the planet, reducing the quantities and therefore creating beautiful resources.
