[ENG/PT-BR] The influence of the crime rate on people.
When we say that the crime rate of a certain place is an important factor in deciding the future of the people who live there, we can conclude that this factor is really important, as well as other factors such as employment, health, leisure, among others.
Taking as a basis that human beings seek security since the beginning of time, this factor is highly determining in my opinion. After all, why would we live in a place that puts my life or that of my family and friends at risk? Of course, this decision-making power would be in a perfect world, because we know that not everyone is able to choose where they want to live.
So the crime rate must be fought with public and even private security policies, depending on the place, therefore, actions whose objective is to lower the feeling of insecurity is something very well seen and sought by all.

Taking the country where I live, Brazil, as an example, I can say that crime here is common to all states, obviously some are more dangerous than others, this is widely publicized on social media, whether the information is correct and would or the jokes everyone makes about one state or another among friends.
Here in the city where I live, Goiânia, in the state of Goiás, the feeling we have is of a safe place, at least in daylight not many things usually happen and we can say that the events that happen here are isolated events. The police usually act quickly and, unfortunately, justice fails to release these thieves, that is, whatever they are, the population supports and I believe they approve of their work.
Now, the night is always an invitation to banditry, there's no denying that, depending on where we are here, it's quite obvious that we can be robbed or something can happen, so everything becomes more dangerous. So, for my part, I do what I have to do in the morning and in the afternoon and at night, whenever possible I'm at home.
Source
If I have to go out, I always choose busier places that offer a minimum of security. If I need to go by Uber, I always ask to stop at the door of the establishment, now, if I go somewhere with my car, I always try to leave it as close as possible to the place where there are more people, to give that feeling of security.
This doesn't always work obviously, but it's what we can do to try to protect ourselves. So, always caring for my life and that of my family, I can say that yes, the routine of good people is to carry out their actions during the day and in the afternoon, but at night, we need to be aware, “bad men” can appear at any time. place.
Now talking a little about other states that are commonly more violent and dangerous, we have São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, of course I could be talking nonsense, because I've never been and I don't know these places, but the conversation we always have is that these two states, certainly better known even internationally, are the most dangerous here in Brazil.
Okay, but why is that? Simple, these states are the ones with the most favelas, drug dealers, organized crime, factions, among other bad things widely publicized in the media we have. As I said, this is the impression and feeling we have, even though we do not live in the aforementioned states.

I believe that there, the life of the good citizen, who works and pays taxes is not easy and even with public security policies, it is still not enough to guarantee the well-being of the people who live there.
Brazil is a country where corruption is its biggest problem, its incurable cancer, so if politicians really wanted to use public money to improve public safety, I believe that this would be super possible, but the corruption that diverts that money blows away everything and everyone around here.
The way is to try to protect ourselves whenever possible with the means we have, increasing our “defense” with what we can in the legality that ordinary citizens have and thus being smart about the places we are and always staying awake, watching ourselves not to falter and the worst happens.

Oh, after reading this I found it's quite relateable here as well other than that part where police actually catch them...
That's something rarely happens here and justice get served to one when rich is involved.. stay safe man, I hope this crime rate will decrease and people will leave without fear.
Unfortunately, the rich seem to have the fastest justice for them, it's complicated, but I hope that one day crimes really decrease and things get better.
It's difficult but not impossible.
In my country, corruption reaches scales that cannot be believed to be true in the real world.
Before this moment there were plans that had a certain impact on public safety, the problem is that they are plans for the future, it is not something that works at the moment, so politicians do not give importance to them.
When the education and training plans began to show results, time had passed, and the government passed to another person, and then all the projects and plans running were deactivated or eliminated.
You need to work with education to achieve change, but education and training creates citizens who can reason and can be critical of their rulers, so it is not something that attracts politicians.
That sentence of yours is the purest truth, I feel the same thing here in Brazil, it's what we call the mass of maneuver, that is, those people who lack a school education or are linked to social programs of the government of the president or governor and so on , kind of trade your freedom to vote for money or anything else from these programs.
Therefore, they prefer to remain "dumb" than to study and improve their ability to reason and question governments.

I think, really, there isn't any country that's entirely safe. There will always be places known for really terrible things and people. Over here, especially at night, anything can happen in certain places.
Like you said, there is only much that one can do to ensure one's safety and security. You shared applicable ways to try to keep yourself safe and agree with them. Most people wouldn't want to be caught doing bad things, so they'd rather do it unseen. Being in places where there way more people around can help keep one safe.
I don't know much about Brazil, but now, at least, I know certain places to ensure to keep my eyes open if I ever do travel there. I enjoyed reading this.
I'm glad you liked my post, I like to share a little bit about what life is like here in Brazil. Now you even gave me the idea of one day making a post showing how people protect themselves.
There are houses here that look like castles with so many security devices, such as electric fences, security cameras, big angry dogs, intercoms, concierge, in short, a lot of things to try to protect yourself.
About the states mentioned, they have their positive sides, but unfortunately they are known as the 2 states in Brazil where crime and insecurity are higher, so be careful!

Why haven't the government get the army to raid the town if its fillied with drug pushers and bandits? Well i wouldn't be surprised if these criminals pay the police to cover up their ass
From time to time the Brazilian army enters the favelas of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to carry out joint operations with the police, but this is something that happens from time to time.
There really is always this question, why don't they go in once and for all and stay there? Why don't they arrest the drug dealers who run everything? This just reminds me that it could be corruption and that unfortunately some police or army superiors may have "deals" under the table with these bad guys.
Things are not easy! 😐
Well a friend once told me this. "There is nothing more truthful than your guts" if you Believe so then that is the truth.
Am not surprised as that is how most of the criminals always pass the law by bribing the law
Exactly, that's the only way they can get around things, with bribes and buying the people who are supposed to protect us.
Yahhh may the good lord protect us. Hope your sunday was amazing☺️☺️
Only God himself to give us the necessary protection! My Sunday was really good, I hope you had a great Sunday too and a great week ahead!
Well going great so far, even if its bad we still need to be thankful
That's true, my day was good, tiring, but I'm fine. I got stuck doing so many things
Ohhhhh thats fine, its good to get the body all bubbling and working
